if my friend is a bad person who is clingy and steals stuff including my boyfriend and stuff from peoples houses but is also very sweet should i tell her i dont want to be her friend anymore even if i love hanging out with her?

I would have said that you should sit her down and tell her that you have a problem with these things she is doing, but you want to help her stop them becuse you still want to be her friend.
After that, it is up to her if she changes and acceps your help. If she decides she doesn't want to change then yes, you should probably stop being her mate.
