really all you need to tell him is I like you or get one of your friends to tell him but I think it would be better in person and If he says like gross and all or something like thats nice really he is jumping inside with joy..lol

Go up to him and tell him you need to tell him something then like go somewhere else where no one can hear your guys conversation.
