p1nkelephant answered Saturday November 27 2004, 9:42 pm: there's a snare drum, a high hat, a crash symbol, a base drum, 2 toms (on top of base drum) one floor tom, and a ride symbol. the web to go to is...www.vicfirth.com
helps with sticking rudiments and gives drumming tips! and take some lessons k?
Solaris answered Saturday November 27 2004, 3:50 pm: A basic drumset consists of 1 Snare drum, 1 Bass drum, 2 toms, 1 floor tom, 1 hi hat (cymbals touching each other thats gives you a 'sizzling' sound) 1 ride cymbal, and 1 crash cymbal.
I would go to www.vicfirth.com to learn basic drumming techniques. Its best you learn rudiments and stick control to make yourself a better drummer. I too taught myself how to drum and ive come a long way. I wish you the best of luck and if you ever have any drum questions send one to my inbox. I know much about drumming since I am studying Percussion in college right now...heh. [ Solaris's advice column | Ask Solaris A Question ]
WTF answered Saturday November 27 2004, 2:15 pm: depends on what you have, a good beginner is a 5 set though, normally with a snare, bass drum, a high hat, a crash, and a tom, but thats not always how it is. i dont know any sites because i play guitar not drums, but im sure you could just google drum help or something and youll find something easily.
