ok this one of those annoying questions but some ppl dont understand what its like.. i've been mildly anorexic on and off since 5th grade (im in 9th). the thing is im a naturally tall skinny person, i know that, but im like obsessive. im 5'6 and like 106 pounds. my friends are like i'd kill to be as skinny as u but i feel FAT! my other friend tells me im like lara flynn boyle (i dont even no who that is!) lol.. i just want to lose like 3 pounds but im afraid of getting "addicted" to it.. i just dont no what to do. i dont want to be anorexic but i'll be very unhappy if i dont lose like 3 pounds... even though i know im skinny but at the same time i feel FAT and that takes over me.. its really confusing.. AHH what should i do?
xoMirandaox79 answered Saturday November 20 2004, 9:40 pm: okay...making yourself throw up doesnt help you get skinnier it just makes you lose proteins and nutirents you get from your food to be healthy...if your feeling fat go to the gym,go run, participate in a sport, or just set yourse;f up on a diet and eat healthy there are plenty of solutions but dont throw up your food because all it doesnt is make you have less energy and anorexic people always look way too skinny and kinda scary... LoLo2454 answered Saturday November 20 2004, 8:39 pm: You're not fat. There are so many great ways to lose weight without stopping eating. Diets, excercise etc etc etc. You know. Becoming anorexic is actually really bad for you. You may be loosing weight but it is really bad for your body in the end. You arent getting the proper stuff you need for your body at all. You are wasting away to nothing! Plus, weight is a number. It depends on how much FAT you have on you. Most of weight can be muscle. Thats how I am. I am mostly muscle. You probably think you need to lose weight but you dont. Burn your scale. Stop weighing yourself everyday and let it go. Listen to your friends because they are right. MedicatedSanity answered Saturday November 20 2004, 5:43 pm: You're already addicted, hun... you gotta tell someone... a friend, adult, doctor, teacher, counselor, older sister/brother, parent... if you can stop yourself from losing that weight, you can get over it. You just have to ignore those feelings that you're fat... set a goal to not lose weight, and if you can not lose weight after two weeks- you'll feel better. Ehh... maybe it'll help to know what guys think... most guys say they like girls with more "meat on their bones", plus you're skinny already. Maybe you just need some mood stabilizers... anorexia is often the result of family/friend/relationship problems or other issues. Join a sport/team, write in a journal, punch a punching bag, join a club, yoga is relaxing too, maybe workout.... to take your mind off that. Good luck! I'll pray for you!
