Voting speech

Question Posted Thursday November 18 2004, 1:46 pm

Hey. I am doing a speech on reasons why people over 18 should vote and I need some good reasons. I already have a lot but I would like to get more. Does anyone have any opinions on why people should vote or websites about voting that I could look at? I know this is stupid, but what do you think about it. Lol, thanks.

michaelmoore.com has a lot of stuff encouraging young voters, so it's possible there are reasons there.

I think the most important reason young people should vote is because it's our future. If we want something to happen, we have to make it happen through voting. Our parents can't make our decisions for us for the rest of our lives. Eventually a president/prime minister will be from our generation.
