You should meet up somewhere and talk about it and just appoligize for everything. Just be like "I'm really sorry I made you cry, I didn't mean to, I don't know what you want me to say for you to believe me. But, you mean a lot to me, I'm sorry if I hurt you... please just forgive me.." Just say something like that and just be sweet (but actually mean it) and just make him feel better.
