about makeup
ok @ school like everybody wheres makeup and stuff and i want to too. not just because everybody is wearing it but because i feel ugly. but i dont know anythin about it!!! so can you tell me whats the best kind of like foundation or powder?! what is pressed powder?! and dosent makeup wash off in the rain?! thank you so much and i rate really good if that matters to you! thanks.

yEs, some make up dose wash off in tha rain.. you hsould wear..
Eyeline -> i use NYC. nad black.. some of my friends use light brown thought.. its up to you
Cover up -> dose what its name is, covers up any zit or rashes or anything..
Eyeshadow -> i wear eye shadow to match what im wearing.. i like powers and roll on..
Lip Gloss -> that stuff is tha best !! maybee i clear or a light or dark pink

Hey well first off I'd recomend cover girl foundation. It comes in a liquid bottle. Then after that you use a powder so that it doesnt look liquidy. It looks really natural so your friends probalby wont notice that. Then you could get any kind of clear mascara. Cover girl sells that too and mostly any brand it doenst really matter. That way you cant tell that much but it does make a difference. And using a little clear lip gloss would be good too. For eyeliner if your hair is blonde you should use a brown and if a darker color then black. This is just what i'd recomend! lol but it will look good. And u dont have to worry about the fountation washing away in the rain cuz i once went swimming and just a little bit came off. Only dark mascara and eyeliner will run. I hope i helped. Aww! I'm sure you're gorgeous without make up, because afterall, natural beauty is awesome. But enhancing your facial features is great too!
Here's a list of the make up i use; i tend to like more of the natural look, and you might want to start off that way! :)
Concealer - TruBlend, by Covergirl; in Natural Ivory. This stuff works wonders! It covers up any imperfections, such as a zit. It comes in many different shades, and whichever you buy, it blends in amazingly with your skin! All you have to do is press the pump onto a round make-up pad and start blending!
Pressed Powder - NYC [not sure of the colour, i currently dont have any!] but this just evens out your skin, making it look flawless. And it's great after gym class to quickly press on, not look greasy, and you're good to go!
Mascara - Double Extend; by L'OREAL. First of all, since your a beginner, i would get someone to help you with mascara. It can get real messy, and you could poke your eye out ;). But i love mascara. I have long lashes to begin with, so this just enhances them and makes my eyes look even bigger.
Eye shadow - NYC; just a shimmery white [again, i like to be on the natural side] You shouldn't overdo it with the eyeshadow, just lightly spread it over your whole eyelid.
Eye liner - Black; by Prestige, or Annabelle [only available in Canada, i'm pretty sure] This eye liner lasts all day for me, and it's pretty dark. Eye liner is my favourite piece of make up, and i've basically become a pro at applying it, though at first i was really scared i was gonna poke my eye out! hehe. All you do is glide the liner across the bottom inner part of your eye, from the outside corner to the inside, and you're done! Often, i only put it on the bottom but if i'm going for a more dramatic look, i'll apply it on the top of my eyelid too!
Lip gloss - i <3 lip gloss, usually something light pink, or just clear. I use Vaseline a lot too, lol. It gives a nice shine, as well as moisturizes my lips! :) Can't get any better then that ;)
Oh, and squats make your butt look tighter, which is good! haha.

It's good you want to wear makeup! :) Enhancing your features is never bad! I don't think you should worry about your friends making fun of you...you're doing what YOU want and they don't have to agree.
Best foundation ~ I love using the Wet N Wild concealer sticks. They work great!
Pressed powder is just face powder that's pressed together into a compact.
If you get the right make-up it won't wash off in the rain normally.

well i think that make up makes you kind of fake because them girls that wear make up the day you don't see them with make up they might not look rite and ur not ugly cause natural is better.but if you still want to wear make up i suggest you to wear eyeliner because it makes a difference and if u just wear that it wont be to much.what type of eyeliner i think covergirl is best(my opinion).i hope i helped good luck with ur look :)

hey girl just because you dont wear makeup that dont mean your ugly. Some people need makeup and some people don't and you shouldn't do thing just because other people are doing it. but if you think you need makeup then thats your choice. Don't follow other people.

cover girl or maybeline fer cover up the liquid kind stays on longer but the powder blends in more....umm eyeliner is like the best make-up piece...and as fer the rain yes it all duz unless u have waterproof mascara or eyeliner..!

one rule of make up, don't appley to much. You can always start off lite. well the best kind of foundation and powder i'de have to say cover girl.
um i don't really know what pressed powder is.Make up washes off but atleast some do cause there are water proof makeup.i hoped i help

Aww, I'm sure your beautiful without any makeup...but if you really want to improve your look try starting out with nude (light) colors. Go with your mom or guardian to the drug store and pick out a color that's right for you, and purchace one that is close to your skin color...you don't want to look like your wearing a mask! Then, if you want, pick out a light pink or brown eyeshaddow and liner. A little goes a long way....
To answer your questions...
Pressed powder is also known as a "compact'. It's a light tinted powder compressed in a flip-open case for the most part, and it usualy includes a mirror
Makeup rarely washes off in the rain, unless your wearing a non-waterproof mascara and its raining pretty hard.
and I think foundation is better then powder...just a little bit on red areas. Powder often makes your face look cakey and tends to dry up the skin.

Pressed powder, is like a little compact with this smooth makeup in it. It's not cream, it's soft, powder, put it wont get anywhere if you turn it upside down.
Since you're a beginner, i'd go with a simple cream foundation, and a pressed powder to apply over the cream (after it's on your face) Pick a good brand of make-up like cover girl.
Dont use mascara untill someone shows you how, it can hurt!
Eyeliner is key. You apply it to the very edge of the bottom lid of your eye. It's awesome.
Use light colors at first, to get used to it. Like a nice light pink, and then apply some clear lip gloss over it.
Blush, use a nice soft color that contrasts to your skin.
Eyeshadow, creame or powder, whichever works for you. White is very poular, but use something to contrast with your outfit.

I like sally hansens "cornsilk" powder, but it really depends on your skin. The way I found this was by trying a whole bunch of brands til I found the perfect one! :) Pressed powder is like..powder except its packed? It's whats in compacts. lol hard to explain...but yeah rain can wash makeup off!
