aw thanks! And yeah I just started high school too and although I haven't had many tests and quizzes, I know where you are coming from.

First, never EVER wait until the last minute. Its a very horrible habbit to get into. If you know you have a test next week, study a little each night or each day in study hall if you have one. It works a lot better then craming one study session the night before.

Second, don't memorize! It doesn't work! Say your having a test about oranges. Don't just memorize "Oranges are orange and round." Apply and study oranges and realize that they are orange and round. Silly example but okay.

Third, get lots of sleep before the night of the test/quiz. Yeah yeah everyone tells you that but how does it make a difference? If your dozing off in class the day of the test or quiz, chances are you won't be paying attention to what your writing down as answers.

Try using acronyms. I know that my biggest help in piano lab is using acronyms like "Every good boy does fine" for the Treble Clef lines. Or, if your trying to remember the seven colors of the rainbow, "Roy G. Biv" Silly and Simple acronyms like that help a lot!

And lastly, try different things. Try studying with a group of friends and play jepordy or bingo, using the material you need to learn, of course. If that doesn't work just study by yourself. Everyone's differnt you just have to try different things to see what your good at!

Hope I helped :)
