Period
i haven't had my period yet, and i'm 13. my mom was 15 when she got hers and my sister who is 15 hasn't got hers yet. i thought that i would get those "genes" but lately my discharge has been tinted red in some spots. Also today i had no discharge at all. am i going to be starting soon? because i haven't had cramps, or PMS yet.

You're probably going to start soon. Not everyone always gets PMS or cramps, and if you don't, you're VERY lucky! Just make sure to have some supplies with you from now on + maybe wear pantyliners just to be safe.

okay. lets see here. i am 13 too and just got my period in March. It is a new experience. You may think that you want your period, but you don't really. its not a bad thing. its the power to give life but it can be a pain. as for discharge goes, sounds like you should use some painty liners. it makes things a lot easier and can make you feel more grown up. and just because you didnt have discharge today doesnt mean anything. somedays youll have it, some days you wont. and as for starting your period soon, there really is no way to tell unless you expirience cramps. or pms. my friend was having cramps and didnt even kno it was a cramp! so if you feel any discomforting pain in that region of your body, or by your hip areas, then talk to your mom or a lady that you trust and feel comfortable talking with. i hope i helped!

My grandma was 13, my mom was 13, my sister was 13, I was 12, but my aunt, my mom's sister, was 17. So really, it does kinda matter about your mom's starting age, but it's not based completely on that.
But yeah, I'd say you're about ready. Have fun!

Well usually you get it around when your mom started it but not always. That is a sign that you may be starting your period becuase before you start your period you have a lot of white discharge and a little bit of red! so maybe that means that you are about to. the first time you have your period you dont get cramps or pms. until youve had your cycle a couple of times.

That red tint in your discharge is probably because you are "spoting". usually this means you will start your period soon, but it doesn't necessarilly mean it will come immeidtately, you may spot for a while before you actually get your period. It doesn't matter if you haven't had cramps or PMS yet, not every woman gets cramps and PMS and all that. Just be patient, your time will come. And don't stress cuz stress makes it take longer to come.
