I always say if you're not sure about something, take the dive and do what it takes to get an answer. In this case, if you like a guy, ask HIM to homecoming. It's perfectly cool in society nowadays for a girl to ask a guy out. Unusual, since most girls are chicken, but not an issue. Just be blunt about it, if you have the nerve. Go up to him when he's alone (not surrounded by his friends or anything) and say "hey, I was wondering if you wanted to go to homecoming with me." or, take the less blunt approach and ask him if he has a date. When he says no, you say "me neither...wanna go together?"
