Another tampon question!

Question Posted Monday September 13 2004, 3:19 pm

I just asked about first time tampons. I saw these teen ones at Walgreens, they are like "teen satin" or something. Has anyone tried them? Should I use those, or would I be better with Tampax pearl? I always thought those were adult sized and a teen kind would be better.

Also, how old are you, and do you use pads or tampons? Sorry, but I really want to know before I try them.

personally i like tampax pearl, ive never had an accident with them. but i also wear pads, to like go to sleep. I'm alomost 18. I've been using tampons since i was like 14 and i got my period when i was 11. if this is your first time using them, those teen one are just perfect. they get you too feel more comfortable wearing them, so that eventaully you can wear the bigger ones on your heavier days. and since they are smaller, they are easier to put it.

WEll they dont really have a certain tampon for differnt ages but they do have different sizes. They have slim fit if your slim. And yoU Can buy regular absorbency- or super absorbency. Regular are smaller then super. But My Favorite brand is tampax theyre plastic and comfortable!

I'm 15 and I used Tampax Pearl... BIG MISTAKE!!!! During gym, we played a game of dodgeball, and some bitchy grrl tossed a ball right at my crotch! It looked like tomato bisque in my crotch. Use the Teen Satin. It feels nice, like I bet you do ;)

If your are new to using tampons, and have never tried them before i suggest starting out with the lites which are the smallest kinda available. It will be easier learning how to put them in since they wont be as big. once u get use to it then u can get whatever absorbancy u need. tampax pearl do work well however, any kind of tampon that is plastic works pretty well too.. normally the cardboard ones are the most uncomforatable..
hope i helped....kara <3

with me i use both. in the day time i use tampons and at night i use pads... you should use pads at night because you're supposed to let it "flow" instead of keeping all that stuff in you all the time. my prefrance is tampax pearl. they are very easy to use and they are comfortable. i've never heard of those teen satin ones you're talking about but i really think you should use tampax pearl... they may be a little more expensive but the fact that they are comfortable and easier to use is worth the money. hope i helped good luck
