"Losers/Populor People"
There's this guy who I just started hanging out with.. and like all my friends make fun of him cause he's in the "loser" crowd at school and I'm in the "populor" crowd. He's kind of gothic/punk type of guy. He's a really cool guy.. and I admit, I thought he was a freak at frist. When the teacher told us we'd be sitting together for the hole year in art, I thought I was gunna die. But, we became really close friends and we have a lot in common it's crazy. We'd find our selfs slipping notes in eachothers lockers and writing back 10 times a day. Well, about a couple of days ago, he called me for the first time ever this summer and asked if I wanted to go to the mall with him. Of couse I said yes, he's a blast to hangout with. We ended up going to the mall and I couldn't stop laughing around him, then my friends showed up. They pulled me to the side and asked me why I was hanging out with a "loser" like him. I told them he's cool, brushed them off and went to hangout again with my buddy. Well, one of my good friends, called up the guy that I was hanging out with. He told him that I was only using him and that they payed me to hangout with him and be his friend. He totally believe him. I tryed everything to make he believe me and not my friends, but he wont listen. I'm sorry this is so long but I really need some help. Please? What should I do about all this? Thanks so much!

Well, i personally, dont believe in labeling. Prep, goth, punk...whats the difference! Well, sinse you write notes and shit, i suggest you write him a heart to heart note! And about your friends..repetivness is key..keep on telling them hes cool!

well you need to talk to your friends tell them how rude that was and tell this guy again and again and agin that it is not true if he had any trust in you in the first place he will finally realize it really wasnt true and that you really do like to hang out with him

well im in the same situaltion...i am dating a punk..and my firends didnt like that. they wanted me to date one of the preps or popular jocks..like them but i really liked this guy. so i invited my bf out with my friends and they got to know him and now they REALLY like him! i would try doing the same! also, about ur other probleem um...well i would go talk to him..in privite away from ur friends ...some where were ur alone and just talk to him...just talk..

hey, I know exactly what you are going through. I'm going to try to help you the best I can. I am the kind of person in school who is nice to everyone so I try my hardest to be friendly to all the unpopular people and make them feel happy. I feel so bad for the people who sit alone at lunch so I talk to them and they are really AWESOME people. Everyone always says something to say to me because I always stick up for them when they get made fun of. but i'm not extremely popular, i'm just kind of friends with everyone so it doesn't really matter... so in your situation i would keep trying to approach your friend and tell him how cool he is and how much he makes you laugh and explain how your friends are assholes. keep making attempts to talk to him. his feelings are probably really hurt. he needs a really good friend like you =) well if you want to talk to me, give me your screen name (because i don't want to put mine on here)... i hope all goes well with you and your friend! you're such an awesome person, i can tell

sweetie, you need to call him and tell him that what your friend said was a bunch of bull... and then talk to your friends and ask them why they would do such a cruel thing!! i mean no human being should be treated like that even if he isnt there friend. plus i think that your friends were getting a little jealous because you were hanging out with a "loser" and not them!! if they do that again after you tell them not to their not worth being friends with... hope we helped!!
