Question Posted Friday September 3 2004, 12:19 am

I always seem to have problems, but this ones kidda bigger then the rest. I really like this guy, he's a total sweetheart, caring and such. He's 15 and I'm 17. Well, today he told me that he liked me alot. I'm kidda dating someone right now though and I told him that. He started freaking out because he really wants to be with me. He thinks I don't give a shit about him, when I really do, I adore him. I just don't know what to do. Another problem, is the age difference. I told him it really didn't matter, but really, it does. I mean, my friends wouldn't be too fond of it. I don't know what to do, any help?

Okay, first of all, if you two really like each other then dont let what your friends think influence your decision. Who cares what they think, as long as you're happy with him. Some guys needs reassurance that you care about them, so find little ways to let him know that you infact, DO care. :)

well if he's upset that bad that he can't be with you, then he's WORTH IT. if you want to go out with him or whatever, then decide which is best between him and the guy you are seeing now. and I know "who cares what your friends think" isn't what you want to say, but think about it. what are they gonna do?

ok age is just a number and it shouldnt matter when you like someone. Me and my boyfriend are 2 years apart as well... i'm 15 hes 17. If you like this guy go for it and forget your boyfriend but if the age is going to be a big problem in your relationship and you dont like what your friends think, then you shouldnt be with him. Good luck

Yea, this is a tough situation to be in. But, you're going to have to do pro's and con's for each guy and see who you would be more happier and comfortable, etc. with. I mean, which one do you think you can see spending more time with and having that relationship last longer and which one will make you more happier? And let him know you do care about him just be like "I know I'm dating someone right now, but it doesn't mean I DON'T care about you, because I really do, I adore you, and if you don't believe me then I don't know what you want me to say in order for you to believe me because I'm telling you the truth!" And this whole age thing, its only 2 years apart, it's not bad at all. Age is just a number, I mean my parents are 3 years apart. Don't worry about what other people think, they should be happy that you are happy with whoever you end up with! But, I hope this helps and if you still need help on all of this, just post a message in my inbox. I hope everything works out for you, good luck hun!

xoxo Kourtney
