basil
I tried to grow an herb garden but nothing grew except one thing: the basil. it smells really good and I have a ton of it! but I don't know what basil is used for or what to do with it. anyone have some advice?

I love basil! Yes, it's a great addition to pasta sauce. Try making pesto with it ([Link](Mouse over link to see full location) up pesto). You can spread pesto on plain pasta (no spaghetti sauce) or you can spread it on crostini (small slices of french bread, toasted).

Basil is excellent for air fresheners since it smells so nice. I generally dry it and crumble it so it looks a little like catnip, then I put it in a cloth bundle. I put them in closets or bathrooms so it smells pretty. My friend, who is slightly crazy, uses it in Italian food.

im not the best at herbs but my gran does have a great garden she plants loads of flowers she has lavinda which is really nice why not trying to plant some different plants and see what you get even thought my grans garden is small its really nice roxie xxx
