Pink_Flamingo answered Monday August 16 2004, 9:48 pm: Well make sure you do everything light. No black eyeliner or anything. Just keep it sheer. Use a nice light pink blush but make sure you dont use to much. For eyes use a light eyeshadow like a champange color or something. [ Pink_Flamingo's advice column | Ask Pink_Flamingo A Question ]
xOchErrytWistOx answered Monday August 16 2004, 8:46 pm: Ok hun, here are some tips, you can use them exactly or in the broad sense:
Blush: I'd go for a pinky color thats a kinda darker. A light pink mite slightly wash you out, so a darker pinkish/peachish would work. Color EX: Covergirl blush: Rose Silk (Found in any drug store)
Eyes:
-Shadow- >I'd go for browns and goldy shimmer colors especially for daily use. Use a light shimmer color all over your lid and then use a darker brown for the crease of your eye. use a brush (can buy them in drug stores) and only use the dark color in crease
EX: Covergirl, Cafe Au Lait - 3 colors, use the lightest one for all over and either of the 2 others for the crease depending on the effect you want.
-Liner- > Line top and bottom for a dramatic look. Use a twist up eyeliner for a good long wear and its easiest 2 apply. i personally love pencils, and when using a pencil, run it through a flame of a match or lighter to make it glide on easier
EX: clinque is awesome, but you can get any kind (covergirl, lancome, revlon) of twist ups in any drug store. for pencil i STRONGLY RECOMEND: revlon wet dry eyeliner -- it works better the the sephora brand but it tends to be like 5 - 6 dollars.
-Mascara- > Read the labels! If you want volume get a volumizing one. If you want length, get a lengthening one. Try one with a primer and then the mascara.
EX: Volume XXL maybeline(i think) or the revlon one with the primer and the macscar (I forget the name)
Mackenzie answered Monday August 16 2004, 7:39 pm: FoR foundation, I use 'CoveRgiRl's' "clean makeup FRAGRANCE FREE NON PARFUME 30ml" bottle. It glides on smoothly, and comes in *many* diffeRent shades, so you'Re bound to find a coloR that's peRfect foR you. As foR eyelineR... when it comes to liquid oR pencil, it's just a peRsonal pRefeRence. HoweveR, if you ask... MOST people will tell you that pencil is a betteR choice. It's a gReat staRt foR a beginneR who is just getting used to it. If you mess up, pencil is A WHOLE LOT easieR to clean up and Re-do than liquid would be. And if you plan on caRRying it aRound in a puRse oR pocket.. theRe's a chance that the liquid may Ruin. And now foR the pRoducts... peRsonally, I think the two best bRands of eyelineR out theRe aRe "MeRyl NoRman" and "Beautique". "MeRyl NoRman", which can only be puRchased at "The MeRyl NoRman Cosmetic Studios", is pRicey [typically $8.50 - $15.00], but it REALLY IS good stuff. It goes on wondeRfully, and stays on all day!!! On the otheR hand... I happen to think that "Beautique" is INCREDIBLE, howeveR, I've ONLY seen "Beautique" at "Sally's". And "Beautique" is only .99 cents. TRUST ME.. I would NEVER EVER EVER buy cRap make up!!! I get only the best, so please, please, please, please DON'T let this dollaR pRice thRow you off - you'd be cheating youRself out of the best pRoduct out theRe!! I'd PREFER "Beautique" out of ANY otheR bRand of eyelineR!! I could easily go out and buy a $15.00 pencil, but I'd RATHER get "Beautique"! "Beautique" glides on smoothly and REALLY LASTS ALLLLL DAY!!! I CAN NOT pRomote this item enough!! And if you still have doubts... foR only .99 cents.. it's woRth a shot!! Goodluck!! I hope I helped!! =D [ Mackenzie's advice column | Ask Mackenzie A Question ]
crazybiatch074 answered Monday August 16 2004, 7:20 pm: Well, I have medium skin also and i used covergirl clean makeup and their loose powder. It has good coverage and it stays. If you wear eyeliner- Jane gel eyeliner applies well also. Any kind of mascara from avon is really awesome. Especially the volumizing kind. I dont usually wear blush but i like a melon red color if i do. If you want to know something that looks really cute for eyeshadow.. well apply some blush and then some to your eyelids. It looks cute.

Karen answered Monday August 16 2004, 7:19 pm: For eyeshadow, use pastel colors like pinks, blues, and greens. Use brown mascara and brown or black eyeliner. Also, use light pink blush. Hope I helped :) [ Karen's advice column | Ask Karen A Question ]
nEwYoRkLaDii answered Monday August 16 2004, 7:18 pm: for light blue eyes, you should always go with a contrasting color, such as purple, a dim lime green even. dont go with blue, because it dosent hightlight your eyes. for blush, go with a shade just darker than you or use a bronzer. those tend to work well also as a replacement for blush. for foundation use lorel true blend, it matches with any skin type and is cheaper than some other brands. for eyeliner, i would use any gliding or twist type, the pencil ones seem to wipe of eailsly and look realy chalky. for lips use a clear or go a little pink or peach. if you need more help, leave one in my inbox. hope i helped ~nyladi~ [ nEwYoRkLaDii's advice column | Ask nEwYoRkLaDii A Question ]
