Supporting my friends

Question Posted Thursday August 12 2004, 12:37 am

My friend asks me for advice a lot and always comes to me for help. I appreciate it, but I'm not to good at being comforting. I end up trying to make the situation look funny, like it's no big deal, or I change the subject. And sometimes she'll ask me about guys and issues with drugs and stuff but I'd know nothing about these things. How can I be more supportive?

And I'm fourteen and a girl since this is a relationship related question. Though I'm not sure you need to know that...

You can be more supporting by not making a joke out of it. She might think your immature. So try your best to keep a serious face on and offer her support by making her feel better. You also can give her your opinion on what you would do or how you feel. I hope this helps. Miss Advice x
