Well i never got my belly button pierced and i dont plan to but i have friends that do have their belly button pierced. Yes, i've heard it does hurt but for the first few hours or days. Depending on the person. Maybe it will be different for you. They use a needle and gauge to pierce and the sizes of the needles are different depending on what size you want the piercing to be. Its about 30-35 dollars to get it done. Hope this helps!
