Okay, I have this friend, and we are very close. He is a guy, and he goes to my school and we hang out all the time. He is really fun to be around and he is always making me laugh, but the problem is, he seems depressed. Every once-in-a-while he'll mention how he's sad about not having a girlfriend and about how hes sad because he thinks he's ugly. He's really not half bad looking, he just doesn't seem to realize it and for some reason he thinks having a girlfriend is the most important thing. How can I help him? What do I say to make him feel better? How do I help him to realize having a girlfriend isnt important. I've discussed this multiple times with him but I dont seem to be helping or saying the right things. Please help me out. Thank you.
