do what you want to do not what your friends or anyone elses tells you, and if your asthma is really bad you could get really hurt if you do any sports, is it worth the risk? that is up to YOU not anyone else. good luck.

if you love sports, then you should try your best if your dedicated to it. If you really think that your asthma and bad knee affect your game, then maybe you should stay away from sports for a while, but if i were you i would try to stick with it. hope i helped -dr.anqel

I say go for it. You have nothing to lose by trying out. The only thing you wouldn't have is not knowing if you could have made it. Don't think of athsma and your knee as something to hold you back - thing of them as obstacles to overcome. Use them to motivate you, not bring you down. I bet with a good trainer / physical therapist, and a knowledgeable coach, your knee issues can easily be overcome. And athsma is hopefully something you'll outgrow over time, if not, it is usually not something that ends too many athletic careers. More important than all of that is: If you think you'd have fun on a team, then YES you should try out - do what you love to do! Have fun!
