Eat healthy, I don't mean go vegetarian, I mean eat more vegetables and fruits, and some nutricious meats, and no cake, no candy no vegetables, no soda, try milk or water.
I know, parents won't understand you when you tell them you want to loose weight, so don't tell them, just stick to simple stuff.

Dieting can be helpful, but it can also be unhealthy, it depends on what diet. That is if you desperately want to lose weight, but I don't think 150 is a lot. I know some people who look like they don't weigh anything, but they actually weight quite alot - they just carry the weight very well from their stature. Others look like they are way out of shape, but yet weigh very little - they just have horrible physiques.
So, in short, at that height and weight, it is hard to say... it is going to have to do with your stature and how you feel about it. Being that you're only 13, you have a good chance to keep growing (as it is very likely).
I'd not worry so much about losing weight in the standard regard... I'd concentrate more on making sure you have a consistent, healthy diet - make sure you get enough protein and eat a generally well-balanced diet overall. On top of that, make sure you're getting plenty of physical activity, be it in the form of planned exercises or just general activities from sports or riding bikes, hiking, etc. And the most important thing you can do is make sure you get a good night's sleep. Seriously, try to get 8 hours a night - I know many might laugh - but the people who do are often starving their bodies of sleep - and bodies that don't get enough rest cannot process food or build muscle as well - and thus end up with weight problems.
You're only 13 - you're still growing... you've got time on your side... it just takes a little effort and an understanding and acceptance of who an what you are. Don't worry about looking like anyone else but yourself. If you unfairly compare yourself to others, you'll only make yourself miserable in the end. So long as you know you're doing everything you can to the best of your abilities, you'll have nothing to worry about. [ MFS's advice column | Ask MFS A Question ]
