Help! My obsession with a male celebrity is ruling my life!
This may sound really dumb, but I am seriously obsessed with a particular male celebrity. For some weird reason, once I see that "one hot" celebrity and learn a bit about him, I change myself entirely towards what relates closely to him. For example, if I were absolutely in love with Johnny Depp, I'd start to do more dark things and even dye my hair black. It's hard for me to find relationships because I'm always looking for guys who are close or exactly like that particular male celebrity. I know I'm never going to meet any male celebrity, but there is always some kind of hope in me that says I will. HELP!!!

It's a good sign that you recognise you need help because your obsession is clearly getting out of control and it's not healthy. You have to come back to the real world and face the reality right now because at the moment you're living in fantasy. You think you know him, but you don't really. You're just in love with an image of this celebrity and not the real person. You say there is always some kind of hope that you will meet him. But you need to look carefully and coldly at the facts. How much of a chance is there of actually meeting him or of a real romance developing with this person? Be honest. So are you going to let this obssession with this celebrity who doesn't even know you exist go any further and ruin what you've got or are you going to move on? It's up to you. It's not easy, but the best way to get over him is to stop reading or listening to anything and everything about him immediately.

There is a time in your life where being obsessed with celebrities is a normal and healthy thing. It allows you to experiment with feelings, but without the danger of having to act on them, because the likelihood of meeting the object of your affection is slim. Eventually you will move on and start to like people who are more realistic choices.
So your obsession isn't a problem.

Hey i totally get u but instead of looking for guy that is like a celebrity look for a guy that has things u like. U know ur type so look for that umight not ever meet a celebrity but remember they are all people just like us u may like the actor not the person have a good one buh bye

I know that u may like or love this celebraty, and there is a chance that you might meet him. but chances are, u will find someone else that is much better for u and will love u for who u r and not for what u aren't. So be yourself.

Remember, celebrities are larger than life because other people make them that way. There is no telling whether or not what we hear about him is true, he could be a complete jerk. Try dating someone who isn't like him, but you still like. It would help a little if I knew how old you were, and who this celebrity is. You could try going on a guy break. Just concentrate on work, or school, or whatever it is you do day to day. Try thinking about this guy less and less as each day goes by.

everybody's not perfect. you never really know how celebrities are. your going off basically what you see. physical appearence. if you do meet a boy you like that looks like a celebrity your probably dreaming. try not to think about celebrities or just become a paparazzi(takes pictures of celebrities) or worse?!
