If you are asking a question, and your age (or other information) is important to getting a good answer, then say it. It really depends on the question. If it is not important to the question, I don't think it matters. But most questions asked on here do involve age.
If you are asking the advicenators to tell your their age when they answer, you can find that in thier column if they put it there, but I don't think that matters at all. Advice is advice.

We do state that "If you're asking any kind of relationship question, it helps to include your age and gender." on the form that people use to answer questions. Maybe I'll try to make that a little bolder or something.

No. I dont want to give my age. I feel mature for my age and people wont take me seriously if I say my age! Well i shouldn't of said that but you should just ask your question, dont give any information. Maybe, it depends on the question.

i totaly agree, its a tun easier!, because a 30 year old woman could be talking to us and we might think its 13 year old woman, and so we might give them the wrong advice.

I personaly dissagree with you because when someone asks for advice and don't say they'r age they get good adivce. but when you say your age they'r is someone always being bashed because of they'r age and they asked the questions. i think that your age should not be mentioned unless the "asker" feels they should.

I will agree with that, because I for one keep getting e-mails from people asking me to lower my standard and adivce to the mental age of a 10-14 year old.

does it really? I think questions should be answered based on them being 'people'...just like everyone else. I think giving your age sometimes makes the answers more biased because of the age groups you're in. Everybody should be treated and answered the same way. But of course, under certain circumstances, its helpful to give your age.
