Chemistry homework

Question Posted Monday March 29 2004, 6:16 am

For my AS open book exam I have to write a paper on the development of the Modern Periodic table, including info on:

Early attempts at classification
Mendeleev
The discovery of gallium- unusual properties, metal vs non-metal, dative covalent bonding etc
Atomic Spectroscopy- relation to an understanding of atomic structure
UNILAC accelerator(sp)-as above
Changing work of Scientists
Synthesisation of elements
Isotope 174 of Element 114

I could really use a little help. I've written most of it, 924 words out of a maximum 1000 but I should do a little improving before it's handed in. The final deadline is Wednesday morning. Today is Monday and my chemistry teacher isn't here.

Hi! I'm a chemist. I chem things. No! Really!

I'm willing to look over what you've got so far, if you're willing to send it to me. If you'd like, you can send your draft to sporkopolis2001@yahoo.com and I'll try to read over it this afternoon and/or evening and get back to you tonight with thoughts/comments.

Personally, I'm a big fan of boron and hydrogen half-bonds... but that's really another issue...

Fluxuate your word variety, make the intro intoi each subject longer by explaining their purpose, their balances, pros and cons in mixtures, combination exposures.

Have you tryed googling for homework help [yes, I know its not really homework, but you never know]? Other than that I'm not sure what help you want. Can you give it to a class mate or another chemistry teacher for them to look through it or maybe proof read it?
I remember doing that exam, and how hard it was with a broken keybord, so good luck!
PS, maybe you could submit this to MFS, him being a Chemist and all.
