There are financial aid offices at practically every college. The application at the college for financial aid usually includes a section asking if you want to be submitted for any available scholarships. Besides scholarships, you can get government grants, and student loans if you need to. If you are motivated, you will find a way financially.
About marine biology, I live in Florida, and I happen to know several people with degrees in marine biology who are not working in that field. One is a vetinary assistant, another cared for tropical fish at a pet store, and one returned to school and is now a physical therapist. That doesn't mean you won't complete a degree and find a job working in that field.

But if you're really limited financially you don't want to be asking us what the best school is... you want to go somewhere close to home that's not too expensive. Look into public schools near a coast. Biology is one of those degrees where most people go into some sort of graduate school after their first degree, so it's stupid to get your bachelor's at an expensive private school, in my opinion. Go public and make sure they have a program, it doesn't have to be the best in the country it just has to be there. [ spacefem's advice column | Ask spacefem A Question ]
