I feel that my friendly advances sometimes scare people off. You know, like: why is this girl talking to me? What does she want? I'm afraid to talk to, for instance, the guy I have a crush on because when I have, he seems... weirded out. I'm not staring at him or asking odd questions; I don't know what I'm doing! Either people I don't know well always seem weirded out or as if they're laughing at me. Why is this??

If not....then well, you might still want them to come to you. And he might not be getting weirded out. He might be surprised that you are talking to him. Maybe you should try asking him to hang out with you before you start launching a conversation. Or make small chat. Again, some people need to come to you.
