problem with my inbox

When I signed on it said I had 2 new questions in my inbox but when I went to read them I was told my inbox was empty.

Yes, this has been a problem lately, along with people getting e-mails saying they had a question when they didn't. I'm not sure what the deal is. If you notice a pattern to it or anything let me know... I've been digging at this for the last few weeks and cannot figure out for the life of me what's causing it.
