horse person gift? I'm getting a Christmas gift for a horse-oriented type but I haven't had a chance to snoop in the barn for a bit... she does 3-day eventing and teaches riding lessons, an English-style rider. What is she likely to be wearing out, running out of or needing more of, knowing nothing else?

Lets take a look at my wish list real quick ;) ok so you have a horsy person... depending on her and her experience which you probably know her better than I, some people like to learn about other equestrian sports, what other people are doing... you could get her a book about cutting or western, but make sure she knows you got it for her to "expand her horizons" not because you forgot what she did. Eventers use a big stopwatch thing that goes around the wrist to keep track of their time; a new one of those might be nice... I'm not sure how expensive... I recommend the Ruffian or Seabiscket story book things those are both great and any horse lover would love them... anything autographed by David or Karen O'Conner... every horse person can always use more show sheen or Braid-it (i highly recommend braid-it i don't know how i lived with out it... I think that is a pretty good amount of things for you to think about have fun horsy shopping :) ]
