Okay, well for a while now I've wanted to babysit but each time I pass out fliers nobody replies; (which is probably because they are not all thought out as great as people want them to be). So, I was just wondering if you have any ideas because you being 16, may have given you more opportunities to babysit and me, well I'm only 13 (4 months I'm 14) and I want to make a few easy bucks because I feel guilty always asking my parents when I need something.
Do you have any ideas of little jobs I can do to get some extra money? Or do you have any ideas on how to get people to hire you for babysitting jobs?
Thanks for Reading.
If you go to church or some other religious service, that is the BEST PLACE to start. Look around for people with kids and talk to them, or put fliers up in your church bulliten board. Make the kind of fliers where you can rip off the tabs, because parents with kids will like having something they can take and not have to stop and write down. If your church has a nursery, volunteer in there to get experience-- then on your fliers you can write, "EXPERIENCED with children". If you want hired, act responsible and make sure everything on your fliers is spelled correctly and looks neat and organized- you want people to respect you.
Next, try around the neighborhood. Put fliers under windshield wipers and in between doors-- not in mailboxes, that's illegal :)
As for other jobs, you could clean if you're good at that, and since it's the holiday season, you could offer to wrap presents- many people are too busy to do it themselves, I wrap my aunt's gifts for her every year.
