decrease in wold hunger; why?

hey this paragraph "About 24,000 people die every day from hunger or hunger-related causes. This is down from 35,000 ten years ago, and 41,000 twenty years ago. Three-fourths of the deaths are children under the age of five. " obviously tells us that there has been a decrease in world-hunger, which is great, but i've been thinking.. and i mean, we've had MORE wars, right? shouldn't there have been an increase over the years?
do you know what has led to this decrease?
howcome less people are STARVING?

I can't do handstands or cartwheels but I really want to do them. Like figure it out on my own without much help since I'm just doing it for fun and not all gymnastics competition thing.
I wanted to know what workouts would behelpful for me to achieve this goal

Dum majors

Okay, at our school, for the marching band there are two guys who conduct the whole thing from a raised platform and they're called drum majors and I was wondering if it was the same for other marching band conducting people. If so, why are they drum majors? From what I know, the conductors at my school don't play drums...so why are they called that and how do you become one?

Well, okay so there is this guy that flirts with me a lot. The thing is that he's a junior and I'm a freshie.

2-just being goofy [thinks that i'm cute--age wise]

okay, i have this american eagle pass thingy.
every three months you get a certain percent off clothing there.
lets say i spend like $122, and i got 20% off. how would i figure out the price with 20% tooken off.
i need like full detail steps that are simple. im not that great at math.

Well i was thinking of giving my ferret a little piece of a curly frie like once a week. I was wondering if that could effect her health i mean i know it isnt that healthy but could it kill her? should i give it to her or not... ? i know she likes them. please only answer if you are possitive. :]

Ok...so I'm a girl. I have deeeeo briwn hair, hazel eyes and a alright complextion. The problem is...I see all the pics on hi5, myspace etc and they do those weird facial expressions and it looks so cool and pretty. When i try it...it looks like complete crap. How do they do it.....how does it look soo cool?

2 days ago after school, i decided to do my homework on the desk right on the computer.(our computer is on a desk thing so you can write on the desk) well on the computer i had absolutatly NOTHING up. no internet, aim, email, AOL, NOTHING related to the internet. i also had the volume up on the computer. well while i was doing my homework, out of no where this man's face pops up on my computer screen. i swear it scared me like hell. i was sick to my stomach. i swear i felt like the face was staring at me or something. i really have no clue how this guy's face popped up.. and im still scared today. can anyone please tell me what the hell this was?? THANK YOU A LOT.

I have a 2 questions for religious people, preferably Christians. One, what is the purpose of other planets that do not have life, and two, how and where do ice ages fit into history, creation, and God's plan?

Really weird!

Okay this is really weird, and I don't understand it. At random times during the year, for about..3 to 4 days, I wont want to sleep in my bed. I'll just feel like sleeping on the couch. Like, if I was forced to sleep in my bed on one of those days, I'd feel like you guys probibly would about being forced to sleep on the couch.. If you understand what I mean. It's deffinatly not that I'm scared of my room. And I know that for a fact. I love my room, and have no problem sleeping in my own bed. And it's not cause the couch is super comfurtable, cause it's not that amazing! I just don't understand why I do this. It doesn't happen OFTEN maybe like, 3-4 days every 1-2 months. Does this sound really weird to anyone else? It's really weirding me ou...

but its birthday is.. the 14th of january.. so that means..

Hair dye came out bad

I dyed my hair last night & I hate the color though it came out too red! :[ The box said it was suppose to be a medium reddish brown. But instead my hair came out red. Well when i got home from school i showered and tried to wash out the dye and it didnt come out like i hoped it would. It's permanent too so its not like it will eventually come out. My mom said she WONT redye my hair because its too expensive and i dont know what to do. My hair is short with layers so i know it wont take as long to grow out. Anways i was wondering if anyone had an suggestions on what to do or how to get it out faster besides dying it. Thanks in advice.

There is a new song out & its a guy and a girl. I don't know alot of the lines but it basicly is like : "i gonna remeber you, if your gonna remeber me" something like that.
