Really weird!

Question Posted Friday December 8 2006, 10:13 am

Okay this is really weird, and I don't understand it. At random times during the year, for about..3 to 4 days, I wont want to sleep in my bed. I'll just feel like sleeping on the couch. Like, if I was forced to sleep in my bed on one of those days, I'd feel like you guys probibly would about being forced to sleep on the couch.. If you understand what I mean. It's deffinatly not that I'm scared of my room. And I know that for a fact. I love my room, and have no problem sleeping in my own bed. And it's not cause the couch is super comfurtable, cause it's not that amazing! I just don't understand why I do this. It doesn't happen OFTEN maybe like, 3-4 days every 1-2 months. Does this sound really weird to anyone else? It's really weirding me out. Cause I mean, who wants to sleep on a couch when you've got a bed? Well, apperantly I do. Heh, but that's not the point. Why do I do this? Oh, and if it helps I'm 16/f. I don't know what that would have to do with anything but, I thought I should mention it. Please tell me what's wrong with me!

This sounds pretty normal, actually. There's nothing wrong with you. It's just that your body probably gets sick of being in the same surrounding (aka bed, haha) every night, and wants something different to et comfortable. =)

This may not answer your question very well, but the only reason I can think of is that maybe you have moments where it seems more comfortable to sleep somewhere different. Not saying the couch is more cozy than your bed or anything.
I don't think you are weird. As a matter of fact, when I was in high school, I had moments where I slept with my head at the foot of the bed. I didn't sleep that way everyday- just now and again. I would say it was probably because I just needed a little change in my surroundings in order to sleep better (but it wasn't a change that was unfamiliar, kind of like your couch). It was probably a subconscious thing, I guess. It was just comfortable to sleep that way sometimes because it was kind of different from my usual thing.
