Moving out?

Posted Tuesday September 2 2008, 9:40 pm

I just started college about a week ago. I live about 20 minutes away from campus, and sometimes it takes longer to get there with traffic. So it gets a little tough driving to and from everyday.

Anyway, next summer my best friend's mom is getting married, and hence, moving in with her husband. My BFF doesn't want to move in with them, because we will be sophomores in college and 19. So, we've been talking about getting our own apartment closer to campus/our downtown area. It would be her and our other best friend. (We live in a city just barely big enough to be classified as a city. It's about 55-60,000 I believe, and the university is in a pretty decent part of town).

It seems like a win-win situation. I'd st...

Convincing parents?

Posted Tuesday September 2 2008, 7:11 pm

I'm not even sure if convincing is the right word to use. I'm driving three hours away to the next city over, for a little vacation and I'm apprehensive about taking my car. It's a piece of crap. And the AC doesn't work and it's been in the 90s lately. I could go on forever.

Long story short, how can I even approach my Dad about letting me borrow his car? I don't even know what to say or where to begin!

End of summer 2008 quotes

Posted Monday September 1 2008, 8:52 pm

I need something that will be a good quote for my aim profile, you know how people have amazing quotes in the aim profile? this is the one i currently have in mine, but i want mine about school starting and summer ending etc.

"you realize that no matter how much you care about someone
they don't always care back, and that letting go of something
isn't that hard, it's what you leave behind that's the hard part.
you realize that you can't make someone love you, and you'd be
better off not falling in love in the first place."

please help :) i want it to be original but i cant think of anything!

belly button infected

Posted Monday September 1 2008, 4:55 pm

This is how mybelly button piercings been doing:

Day 1-2: Red, tender, top is crusted
Day 3-5: Top still crusted, no longer tender, pus comes out
Day 6: Top crust comes off so it looks kinda healed becuase its smooth
Day 7-8: Still puses and occasionally crusts, but crust falls off real easily
Day 9-10: REDDER. I though that it had been getting much better, but turns out, it got worse? I think... Im worried
I also think it'll be rejected because it looks like its migrating.

I dont know what to do! I dont want it to migrate out. Also, what can I do to make it NOT red?

ebay

Posted Monday September 1 2008, 9:17 am

I buy from ebay, and so whenever a package comes to my house, my mom just says "Oh what'd you buy?"
She doesn't ask too much or anything, but I just bought a belly button ring off of it, and she doesnt know I have it pierced.
1) So when it comes what should I say I bought? Like a pair of earrings?
2) And if she DOES open it, which i doubt she would, what should I tell her? For a friend?
Thank youu!

Moving 350+ miles away

Posted Monday September 1 2008, 2:42 am

Up until a few hours ago, I was living in Los Angelos, California, USA -- Population 16,000,000+. As of now, I live in Salinas, California -- agricultural capitol of the country, population 65,000ish.

As you all can probably imagine, this change doesn't exactly have me jumping for joy. Besides the obvious lifestyle changes this is going to force me to make, I'm leaving behind every friend I've ever known, and my girlfriend of over two years. In fact, the only thing I really have to look forward to here is a moderately well-paying (Considering my age/experince) job that I can't stand going to (Customer service for a company that distributes plastic bags to local vegetable growers. Ugh!!).

I plan on driving back ...
