texting so i have a family plan for verizon. i used to have texting but i went over my limit and my parents took it away. i have a job now and i would be able to pay for unlimited texting, so i want texting back. the problem is, if i change my plan to get texting back, will i have to extend my contract?

I have Verizon, and whenever my texting plan would become changed, it didn't extend the contract at all. So you should be fine ;]

I don't have Verizon, so please forgive if this isn't entirely accurate...
From my experience with cell phones, changing your plan has nothing to do with your contract.
Your contract means you will pay for your service for X amount of time. You should be able to add, or change your plan without it having any bearing on your contract.
