I would really like to know what you mean by WW3 at home, how old you are and if you are being physically abused before answering your question. Being an Emancipated Minor, legal term for what you are asking for, is not all that you may think it is. To get what you want you need a Lawyer and you could end up in foster care. It depends on where you live.
If you are granted Emancipated Minor status you then have to pay for everything your parents have been paying for and would most likely pay for in the future, such as college. In short you would be trading whatever childhood you have for the not so much fun of living on your own and supporting yourself while trying to stay in school so that you can get the good jobs that provide a better life.
You might be better off going to your community family service office and asking for help. They may be able to tone down the war at home to a more livable level for you and any siblings you may have. Every problem has a solution; not all are easy to come by, some are harder than others to live with. In the end though finding a solution to a problem is better than throwing in the towel and running away from the problem. [ adviceman49's advice column | Ask adviceman49 A Question ]

PurdyBurdy answered Friday October 9 2009, 11:56 pm: No, not really. You have to get them to sign a paper making you legally an adult. So good luck. I tried that when I was a kid too. But really, you need to stay with your parents. I thought my house was bad too...then I got out into the real world. Taking care of yourself sucks, and having to go to work every day sucks. I moved out when I was 16, and I wish i would have stayed home the 2 years I had. It's a really tough world out there and you aren't prepared for it.
