leLovely answered Sunday July 15 2007, 1:19 am: It's rare. Some people can transmit STD's through birth, from their mothers. Some can get them from sharing needles with other people. But otherwise, no. You can never be positive until you both get tested, though. Don't take any risks. [ leLovely's advice column | Ask leLovely A Question ]
*Kate* answered Friday July 13 2007, 9:53 pm: If both people have never had sexual contact with anyone than the chances of them having a STD is very rare. Some STDs can be passed from mother to child when they are born, and very very very rarely can people get them off of public restrooms. [ *Kate*'s advice column | Ask *Kate* A Question ]
Melody answered Friday July 13 2007, 7:39 pm: If you & your partner have been tested, and neither of you have been tested postitve, then no. You can't catch an STD from someone who doesn't have one.
Don't forget that you can get an STD from other things besides just sex, so don't trust someone who says "I don't have an STD, i've never had sex." As a matter of fact, don't take anyone's word for it at all. They could be lying.
spacefem answered Friday July 13 2007, 7:28 pm: No, but if you're sexually active you need to practice safer sex and be tested for STDs regularly. Never believe anyone who tells you they've had no sexual contact with anyone else. It's not worth betting your life over. [ spacefem's advice column | Ask spacefem A Question ]
