Maybe you should stop being preppy. If you go to that concert, you could just be saying "I'm a liar who's pretending to fit in." And is the battle of the bands emo music? (Since you said "scenesters")

wear the tshirt! i think it would be fine. but comming from all the "rockers" i know: don't wear a polo and pop your collar. anything else is cool by them if you want to "fit in". wear it with jeans. <3

You shouldn't worry about what people will think of you. You are who you are. I think it was Karen (a level II columnist on this site) who said 'I'm a prep who loves rock music'. I've always thought that was pretty cool.

If you really want to blend in and not draw attention to yourself, then wear jeans and a plain t-shirt of some sort.

Also, the majority of people at rock concerts don't care what people are wearing. They're there for music, not a fashion show.

Just remember that a lot of scenesters are freakin' stupid and that their opinions mean nothing because of how quick they are to judge without looking beneath the surface. Not to say that they're all bad, it's just that so many I've been around are just as bad or worse than that jock prototype they emphasize in the movies, yet they're trying to be different from them. Hmmm...hypocritical no?

Okay, haha, sorry about my scene rant. Seriously, just wear whatever you want, and if that's a fender shirt, then go with that. Jeans and a t shirt are fine for a rock concert, and usually more practical.

We shouldnt care what other people think yet we all do so I know how you feel lol. I would just avoid preppy clothes such as pink mini skirts etc. Ive been to Battle of the Bands before and no one really notices what other people are wearing anyway mostly just the music so you should be fine =]
Have fun!

Wear whatever you're comfortable wearing.

I have been to any number of these things and I can't say I paid much attention to what anyone was wearing.

It is usually all about the music and not what someone is wearing. :)
