hair

Question Posted Sunday January 2 2005, 8:22 pm

i don't experiment with my hair. usually just keep it straightened and long. but anyways i feel like doing something new with it and i just took a shower so it's still pretty damp but with my actual question: what does mousse do to your hair? i've been trying to get that like crimped *but not so crimped* like.. wavy/curly look. and when i talk to girls who do it they say their hair is naturally like that and they just gel it up. but my hair is like.. just small wavy when it's gel'd and my best friend said just put mousse in it but problem is i don't have any mousse and i'd like to know what it looks like before i go borrow or buy some.

if you put your hair in a loose braid at night while its dry thatd make a really pretty wave. mousse doesn't really do that to your hair..it makes it hard and sticky if you use to much..and gel does the same but if you put it in a braid your hair wont get less curly..it wont be sticky or hard and it will be wavy hope i helped.

Ok mousse is a styling foam. If you want your hair to be wavy then braid your hair in sections be4 u go to bed and then add mousse or hairspray to them and sleep on them and in teh morning take them down if they are to wavy for you then add just a lil water to them and fixes the frizz.
if you want big waves then use big braids and if you want it to be really wavy and teh waves really lil then use really tiny braids. If you dont want to fo that then go buy a crimper.
You dont need mousse it jsut can help for hold and style!

good luck!

it depends on what you do with the mousse to get your hair wavy when your hair is damp flip it up side down and get alot of mousse and scrunch your hair then flip it back and part it or fix it how ever you want

Mousse is just like gel--but it's like foamy instead of liquidy. It makes your hair like hard? I guess that's what you could describe it as. It makes it easier to scrunch your hair with tho. You just put the mousse in your hair when it's wet and squeeze your hair together with your hands. Then you can dry it with a hair dryer once you're done if you want to. Hope this helped =)

i use a mousse sometinmes when i scrunch my hair. all you do is take a shower and afterwards put a foaming gel or mousse and spread it all over your hair. and since my hair is kinda curly i can blow dry it using a difuzer on the end of my blow dryer and it works really well. i hope i helped!
