I am a 28 year old female and I like this guy at thrift store that I volunteer at. He's 48 years old. I know that is a huge age difference. I just don't know if I should ask him out. I have always dated younger men that have treated me like crap and expected me to pay for everything. They never had jobs. This guy is a lot different he has 2 jobs and has his own place. He makes laugh whenever I am around him. I enjoy talking to him, but I guess I am scared he doesn't feel the same way about me. What should i do?

Very introverted in new job

I'm in my early 20s , a female and havnt had many full time jobs before.
I have just started new role, and I like it and the team seem nice.
My problem is that for some reason at work and in work environments I become very shy. I don't speak out and join in small talk. I put my guard up and somehow I just CAN'T join in!
At first I on purposely kept quiet because I didn't want to seem too pushy. But I'm worried if I carry on I might seem less shy and more aloof. What should I do? I have bad social anxiety.

theres this woman at my job, anyway she is a female as am I. we are both 33 ive always thought she was gay, she doesn't come off as straight 2 me..now I don't speak 2 anyone at my job...but she will make a special effort 2 make convo with me and if Im lookin at something on my comp, she'll come by me closely and just be cheesin and grinning, sometimes she'll touch my arm....and shell say what are you lookin at in this weird playful voice....or she'll peek around the corner while im at my desk and say hi....she is always extra happy 2 be around me....one day I had to use the computer by her area and she said I should be her cute little desk buddy, now there is another woman who sits at that cubicle but she wasnt there that day and I had to u...

My boss isn't giving me my pay stub?

So long story short, I've been working for a couple months now and I didn't know that during pay day my job sends pay stubs in emails. So one day I asked my boss for my pay stub and she said it was in my email, which it wasn't so I told her to send it again to me, she said she would and I never got it. I reminded her about three more times and she always told me she would but I still never got them. So since my manager isn't really in control of the pay stubs I think somebody else higher than her is, is it Human resources? Should I call someone there about my pay stub? I need it because my pay check isn't adding up and I want to see if I got paid correctly. I even googled if there was a website to view my pay stub. I found one but I don't k...

How to not take it personal when dealing with rude customers?

I'm a person who avoids conflict and I hate rude people because when they're rude to me I end up crying and thinking about it the whole day. Today a customer came up to me and asked how much a product was but in order to answer that I asked him which product because there was 3 different ones of the same one. Then he said did you hear what I said? I said no because I didn't want to explain why I asked which product cause I'm not much of a talker then he went on and said "in school do you listen to your teacher?" My ex and I got back together in January, and it's been peaceful and very nice, though we have some problems, we settle it and move on. We decided not to tell our friends about our relationship and just to keep it to ourselves and family. He didn't tell his best friend about us cos she was one of the reasons we broke up before.. Now she was suspecting and he told me. she said she was going to get to the root of the matter. And all he said was that she wasn't jealous and that is how she does when it comes to the issue of girls and that she only wants the best for him.He keeps supporting her and making me feel annoyed.I told him out of annoyance that I was going to get a male bestie and he got angry and started shouting. How do I tell him I can't help him anymore?

So I met this guy on facebook yesterday.
He told me that he is poor and needs a better job but every job requires him to be fluent in English. His home language is Hindi and he isn't good in English. I had to guess what he was saying a few times.
He asked me to help him with his English through voice calls so he can get a better job. I told him I won't be much help and I am just a student in grade 9! He then acted all sad and said everyone says that to him and he was crying, he also told me that if I don't help him I won't sleep comfortably and I will dream about him asking me for help. That freaked me out so much and I felt really bad for him I said I would help him.
I realize now what a horrible mistak...

I'm into a long distance relationship, and I celebrated my birthday in the month of May.. my boyfriend schools in another state, so all he did was to call me and wish me well,he also said he was starting exam that day so he couldn't come over for the weekend that was all.. His best friend celebrated her birthday this month June, he called me and told me few days to her birthday that he was traveling to meet her(cos she schools in another state also).. He went over because of her and uploaded over 50 of her pictures.. I feel uncomfortable and angry,cs none of my picture was posted, neither was I even acknowledged and I dnt knw what to do anymore.. what is going on??

Ok, I have this friend who just broke it off with her bf a month ago. All of sudden she has 'my happiness' on her snapchat stories and all sorts of stuff like that. The next day she comes to me crying. I find out that he is texting her saying that he wants her back even though he is dating someone else. Then today he went up to her and yelled at her face pushing her. I don't want her sad no more. And she isn't over him and he keeps fuxking up her emotions. And mind I say she has been cutting too. Please help me. I don't want her like this. I love her as a friend and I don't want to lose her completely.... ://

Jealousy after moving?

So a couple months ago I moved to a new state. Me and a few of my old friends still keep in touch. Lately I've felt pretty jealous of my friends. When I call my best friend, all she talks about is what her and my other friends have been doing. I miss my old life so much. We don't talk as much anymore and it honestly really hurts, some don't even talk to me anymore. I don't blame them in any way, I know how hard long distance friendships can be. I really don't wanna talk to them about it, I've never been very good with that kind of stuff. Is there any way I can make these jealous feelings go away?

Coworker troubles

A while back, I was friends with my coworkers and very close to them, until a new female employee started working and excluded me from my group of work friends. She is now dating one of the other coworkers. It is very obvious and others have been asking me if they're dating to which I answer yes. I was unaware that this was a secret. Our boss now knows. Also, the female employee texted my best friend saying that I am selfish and a bad person because I gossiped about them, rather than confronting me. P.S We are adults in a post graduate career. However, I honestly feel terrible, should I feel bad? Should I apologize? I just feel very uncomfortable at work and now get anxious about even going into work. I'm just not sure what to do about this...

So, I recently moved schools and I met this guy. He was the first to talk to me in my History class and I liked him from the start! As time passed he grew more distant. I asked him to join me and some of my other new friends on a trip but he declined both times. I stopped asking after that in fear he was getting annoyed. I have a really hard time talking to people so whenever he would talk to me there would be awkward moments if silence. If I get to know a person in definitely a lot more outgoing, it just takes time. My boyfriend and I just got back together after a year breakup... at first, everything was smooth until one month down the line... His school is 4hours drive from mine and since I really dnt lyk traveling, We dnt visit until we get home.. lately, all we do is fight and argue..He also told me that if I get lonely at SCH, I shld get a bf here and tell him so we can break up..Now, we argued over a lil thing and I called him.. we were just silent over the phone deep in our diff thoughts..My questions is that how sure am I that he is nt cheating on me, and I feel like I am the only one trying to make things work here as we are 5months into this relationship and 4months have been quarrels and argument galore. I am a special education teacher. I teach traumatized-behavioral students at a last-stop school. This job is hard.
Here is a history of what you will need to know. This is my first year teaching. I have been in 4 classrooms for this past year. I started in middle school for the first week, but my co-teacher had two new employees with her and we had a new student who was very impulsive. I was switched out with another staff and was placed in elementary. I liked it more because the students were sweeter and I felt like I was making more of an impact.

So long story short I live in an apartment that I pay for through my college and I paid 2k for summer housing and was told I wouldn't have any roommates.
I was really excited because I've been living with my current roommate for a year and until about 3 months ago we got along fine, but then she started becoming more and more irritating. She would constantly invite friends over until 3am in the morning, was having her boyfriend live in her room (and trying to pretend he wasn't), was becoming a huge slob completely wrecking the kitchen to the point it was so gross I didn't want to step foot in there, got in an argument with my dad twice when he visited (which was only twice), and invites her ENTIRE family to stay in the apartm...

Why can't I ever have that band relationship?

Everybody says bands are tight knit. I've heard that all my life but never experienced it. Try as I might to make friends, it never happens. In my last band I think it was because I constantly screw things up, even when I try my hardest. I recently moved to a new school and I thought I might actually succeed in making friends, but I didn't. At least at my old school I had at least 1 friend that was my friend before band. It just depresses me that I can't experience that tight knit band relationship that I always hear about. It doesn't help that I'm not the best player.
