Daughter and 4 year stepfather not getting along

My husband has been living with me and my family for four years. We had a child two years ago also, and now my 12 year old who calls him dad is being resentful about his stepfather authority he doesn't. Call himself her stepfather and treats her like our child and my son. But as we make thanksgiving plans she is having an attitude about his parents visiting. Also her father left when she was born and she doesn't know him any help with how to reduce her attitude for the holidays would be great

I am 15 an I have a step brother but I think he likes me we are not related but we have known each for about 3 years we have kissed when i was 12
but now its different he was like this annoying little kid and I've liked him since
but I don't know if he likes me or not
he always like when I want to go somewhere in my the house he would stop me or try and play push me against the wall so I can't go any were but
I always try to avoid him because I blush a lot around him and I sit in my room or I lock myself out of the house so I don't have to deal with him
well he is nice and cute and he is 11 months older I just want some answers please

MY FAMILY gets offended by my facebook posts, and told my family they don't like me nor want me around...I laughed out loud when I heard that and said high school was 13 yrs ago....I was like I didn't realize our mindsets were supposed to be the same...nope im not into people controlling me and telling me what to do etc....I wasnt put on earth to be your friend, nor for you to like me.....my facebook page is mine and I post what I want......
I feel that if my posts don't apply to you, then you shouldn't get offended ...and they don’t have to read em….we are all still on bad terms and no longer speak and they don't like me but they wont tell me that to my face because they know Im going to hurt their feelings, so they talk...

WHY DON'T ADULTS RESPECT KIDS?!

My question is why do adults teach their children not to interrupt people because it's rude and then they end up doing it? It happens to me ALL the time. I can be talking to my mother at a party for family friends or something when one of her friends just comes up and starts talking, to which my mother would go to listen to because or else it would be considered rude. So what are kids just not worthy of being the first voice? Is interrupting a kid who's talking somehow justified with "oh its just more important" when its its actually not even close to that? Are kids talking to somebody just invisible to the other? Why should kids not interrupt adults when adults do that all the time to kids?

Mother developing narcissistic tendencies after what she calls spiritual enlightenment

Hi there,
I've noticed that my mother has been developing narcissistic tendencies after what she calls spiritual enlightenment. She became a vegetarian but after she has converted to eating vegetables, she has been neglecting some of her family routines. She doesn't cook as well as she use to anymore because she claims that she doesn't have any desire to eat meat, which I know but I don't understand how that effects the quality of how she cooks food. At one point all she cooked was vegetarian food for the longest time until I mentioned to her that I'm not on the same diet as her. Which got her to cook meat, but she cooked it at lesser portions than normal. It makes me feel like she's being passive aggressive about making me ...

Holidays with an 11 yr old and no other family

For the past few years my relationships with my brothers has seriously been going downhill. They are constantly telling me what I'm doing wrong in my life and they complain about son and even my dogs. One of my brothers even told me my son was "unbearable". I rarely see them but for holidays mostly and those always end in tears for me. The other day all 3 of us got together with my parents to help them move some things from my recently deceased grandfather's house and even in just those two hours by the time it was done, I was so depressed I was nearly suicidal (not exaggerating, I have PTSD and have recently been in the hospital for a suicide attempt). Good morning. I'm a 25 year old female and when I was 18, I found out that I was adopted. Even before this, I recall years of abuse. It hasn't been physical. But, it was psychological and emotional. My mother dealt with mental illness and has had outbursts. She has treated me like a doll. Controlling mum tells me how to spend money

So I'm 21 and recently graduated and got myself a good job.
I'm living at home with my parents paying cheap rent each week.
However my mum is insisting that I save up to buy myself a house. I want to buy myself a car!
She won't hear of me actually spending my money any other way. She's very controlling. Since I lived away at uni I gained confidence etc.
Now living at home I've lost it and don't socialise because I don't drive and I'm not allowed to get the bus ... basically if I go anywhere my mum has to take me...
So yeh I'm thinking of moving out . but don't know how to say this to her?

Hello, I am a 13 year old girl. My parents are Catholics and so is most my family (and it's not like the non Catholic ones are outside of Christianity-they are methodists, protestants, etc) but I'm Wiccan, and have been for 4 years. I'm a 17 year old female and my parents never let me out of the house. I'm in university now and a part of being a freshman was the frosh week, I paid my own money to go and because of my parents I only attended 3 out of the 10 days of frosh week, also the days I attended there were parties that started around 8pm and ended at 12am, of course my parents didn't let me go to any of them. My mom made it clear I had to leave campus by 6pm because it wasn't safe to stay on campus at night, yeah I know it's not safe but the parties were patrolled by police officers and to move around the campus at night there's a security program the school has that you can call to escort you to wherever you wanna go. Hi. I have an issue. My family doesn't have that much money, and we might loose our house in September if we don't get a mortgage. I want to help out, but I'm only 13. I can't get a job. Babysitting doesn't pay enough, same with other little jobs. I try to turn off lights and save water and don't wash a lot of clothes, but I don't think it's helping. I don't want to move away from my friends, and we'd have to give up my dog. Please, please help.

Hey im 14 and my family has this little japanese mini truck that i absolutly love to play aroumd in and would like to buy cosmetic items such as stickers and new seats and steerimg wheel and just all round express myself artistically with the truck. But when i confront my parents to buy the items on amazon my dad says no and talks about how the truck isnt a racecar and suuch. He even argues the fact im using my own money and that money should go to college. Any ideas on how to confront my parents about my hobby which they dont really approve of.

I am a 17 year old girl and a junior in high school. I live with my 2 sisters, 1 brother, and mom and dad. I have been through a lot in my life. I was sexually abused when I was 4 until I was 11. I have been to 3 impatient care facilities and therapy for the past 5 years. My parents used to let me do a lot of things and trust me a lot. But as I have gotten older they have less and less. I do not lie to them, whenever they ask me what I've been doing I tell them, even if it is getting drunk in the woods. My mom isn't understanding of orientation week?

So since I'm not living on residence for university I decided on going to my schools orientation week. I had to pay 140 dollars for it because of all the activities going on for it, for example going to the amusement park, touring downtown and going to the beach. Some of the activities that interested me the most take place during 8pm and my mom is saying I can't stay on campus past 5pm cause it's not safe to be there because of the rape reputation the school has. The thing that is pissing me off the most is that I didn't even want to go to that school in the first place but my mom kept insisting I go to that school instead of another school I wanted to go to. So now I'm going to the school she wants and she's telling me I can't stay past 5...

I am going to be 18 in january. I need to know if I can leave. I have somewhere to go, I have a job and will be a manager when I am 18. What will happen if I leave? If I'm not in danger and I have somewhere to go, will I be forced home? My mothers trying to quit my job. I live in Connecticut if helps.

I am 16 and I have had my license for about two months now. However, I have not been able to once drive myself around somewhere because I don't have a car. There are cars available, but my parents don't allow me to drive them because I'm not registered to them or something? It has to do with insurance, I'm not sure with the specifics. Anyway, there is a BMW in the garage that is supposed to go to me, but it doesn't pass smog bc there is a part that needs to be replaced. My birthday is coming up in 2 weeks, and for the past week or so, I've been saying I want to try a candy called Mike and Ike (They don't sell them in the UK so online shopping is the only way to get them).
