Theres a girl I work with for a year and a half and that whole time she had a boyfriend (they were together for 3.5 years) until they broke up two months ago (they both decided to end the relationship together and overall had a "nice" and mutual breakup). I never thought of her as a girlfriend material and always saw her as a good friend, but for the past three-four weeks we started to get closer, phone calls, text messages etc and last week it really seemed like she had something for me - came to seat with me more, flirting, touches etc, it came to a point where people started asking if there is something going on between us and that I should make a move...(for the recored, I would date her if given the option).
Yesterday I caught her for a talk and asked her if what I see is true and if she wants to "take it a step forward". Well, she said that she doesn't want any relationships with anyone right now and that "there have only been 2 months since the breakup", I asked her if she still has feelings for her ex, she said yes, so I asked if she would get back with him if she could, then she said "yes, but he wouldn't..."
So, What the f**k?! I understand you had a 3.5 year relationship, but common, that dude obviously doesn't want you back (he's really nothing special at all and to be frank he is **a bit** ugly, I don't know what she found in him in the first place, but thats non of my business), and you have this opportunity now, why not jump on it? Her answer doesn't have any influence on me except for a "wtf is wrong with you" reaction, I told her it doesn't change a thing and we're still gonna stay good friends (although it seems that what I said [I think] had some influence on her because she doesn't act like a week ago for example, but we still talk normally etc), but hey, I really don't understand this, enlighten me... Give her a minute to bounce back from ending one relationship before diving into another.
You seem terrible hurt as if she has rejected you intentionally cuz she's blind and dumb or something. Which leds me to believe you aren't the best thing for her or anyone!
Chill.
Quit taking this all so personally and stop making so many assumptions about her!

I'm 19/f and me and my boyfriend had sex sometime at the beginning of November, or the end of October. Not real sure. I usually start my period around the 14 of every month. November, I haven't had it at all. I'm getting kind of worried because I usually don't miss a period, and if it's late its only by a day or too. I'm in my first year of college, and Im not ready for a kid right now. I should have thought about that before me and my boyfriend had unprotected sex. He used the pull out method, and it took him a couple of seconds to actually nut by him jacking off. I know prenut can get you pregnant, and I know the pull out method is one of the worst things to do. I should have used condoms, and birth control, but we don't have insurance, and I pay for everything and being a college student, I don't have money, period. It sucks.
But anyways, today would have been a week that my period is late, and I took a home pregnancy test, and it came back negative. Even thought my friends say I should be relieved, I'm still really stressed and worried. I know being stressed won't help my period arrive; but for some reason I just really don't believe I'm pregnant. I haven't had any symptoms at all. But I know that doesn't matter. So I'm stressed.
What do you guys think? Did I take my test too early? Or you guys think I might be in the clear? (link)

All the normal premenstral symptoms (moodiness, bloating, cramping, breast tenderness)can occur even when the boy IS pregnant. Basically it is no indication of anything. Relax and retake the test. You sound intelligent and responsible to make better decisions going forward. Hopefully this is just a wake up call. Good luck.
Oh, and I recall reading in a health journal that biting down on your tongue will cause a woman to menstrate.. lol... don't know if it is scientifically proven but what do you have to lose?!?

All of the advise given here is true.. He should know that you jumped to your answer of "Yes" out of shock and that you have reconsidered. I promise you sex is best when shared by two mature loving adults who understand the changes that will occur by engaging in such an act. It WILL NOT be the passionate love-making scene portrayed by Hollywood. It will be scary, uncomfortable, and overwhelming. EVERYTHING will suddenly change about you, about him and about your relationship. I urge you to wait. He will TELL ALL HIS FRIENDS and you will wish you had refrained!! There is no taking it back.

My daughter now 18, started cutting herself at age 13. I was unaware but her friend emailed me about it. I immediately took her to see her pedetrician. The dr (female) put her on an anti-depressant and the urge to cut quickly stopped. PLEASE tell someone you trust that these thoughts are in your head!!! Self mutilation is NOT the answer!! You have to deal with the pain you've got inside you. Untreated, this type of behavior leads to promiscuity, drinking, drug abuse, low selfesteem, poor school performance, abusive relationship. PLEASE LET SOMEONE HELP YOU!! You don't need to suffer..
