Does it help if you run in place like instead of running on a track u run in place for 30 minutes does that work?

well, technically running in place is still considered exercise but i highly doubt it is comparable to actually running. When you run, you develope fast and slow twitch muscles in your legs, you develope leg turnover and improve your VO2 max, running in place would NOT do that. However, if you just want to exercise, running in place would be comparable to doing jumping jacks

Alright.....so I'm in the 9th grade and I'm 14. I'm friends with ALL guys.3 of them tease me about my boob size. I'm a 32B and they all say I'm small and I don't know what to do anymore. It gets really irritating and I just freeze and can't think of anything to say. Can anybody relate and give me a little advise here???

haha, o hun, dont even worry about it, if they didnt like how small they were they wouldnt keep talking about em now would they? lol, besides you have many years for them to grow, trust me, i was soo small i didnt have to wear an actual bra bra until highshcool, then all of a sudden...BAM! i'm a C, so dont worry

okay, well i'm 14/f. and i have this guy friend that is 15/m. he's like freaking out because he got into a HUGE fight with a girl that he really liked, but she didn't like him. now he's thinking about commiting suicide. i am soo scared, what can i tell him? (link)

Ok, this may sound a little harsh and trust me i am not meaning it to, normally if somebody is truly contemplating suicide...they dont tell anybody, not a single soul. But if he all of a sudden comes out of this depression, like really fast, you may want to worry a little more then. Normally when a person makes the decision to kill themselves they feel a sudden calmness and seem very happy. They may take the next few days to say good bye to their loved ones.
Try to talk some sense into him, dont tell him all of the things he has going for him becuase that doesnt matter to a suicidal person. Tell him how much he means to you, to his family and that to let a foolish girl be his demise wouldnt be fair to the people who truly care about him.
please, take him seriously, you need to tell an adult or counselor

I've noticed that everytime I run,jog or walk in the morning when there is a chilly breeze, my legs get really itchy to the point that I can't stand it. I go home and I scratch till my legs are raw and red. I put water on it and it helps but not alot. Is there any thing I can do to prevent this? What is it? and is there any medication I can take to help the itching? Also, does that happen to a lot of people or is this just me? Thanks! I really appreciate it. (link)

If you have recently applied lotion and then run, this can also cause the itchy feeling, but that normally occurs during hot weather, not chilly.
I have to agree with the other responses, i think your skin may be a little dried out so it reacts to the cold. Moisturize and use lotion, but not right before you run.

I accidentally left my glove out in the rain the other night, and it's still not dry. It's been about 4 days. Any tips or tricks? Or is my glove doomed?

I have good news, your glove is giong to live!!! lol, It will eventually dry just make sure that you dont let it shrink, i recomend using leather oil to work it soft again once it is dry. Also rubber-band rap it so your glove it nice and plyable again. Good luck!

The weight of any person, athlete or not, mostly depends on muscle mass. If you are really muscular, you are going to weigh more than a kid who has a tiny frame.
I geuss there isnt an average weight, just whatever weight is healthy for your build.

oh, so i took my retainers out in school and put them in my pocket. at the end when i took them out there was a crack in it. i put it on my teeth and got scared becaue i'd have to pay for them. well when i went to take the retainers off the crack got bigger and i wripped a piece off. i am sooo scared. my mom would KILL me if she found out they were in my pockets. can someone help me thing of a good excuse? like getting hit in the face with a basketball or anything? is that a good one? ah im soo scared because i heard they are sooo expensive to replace..are they? totally expensive, like $200, i accidentally thew mine away one time at cedar point, i had to do loads of chores for a month.

ok so im a freshman in high school (15 yrs old) and like every weeekend someone in our grade has a party at their house.. and of course there's drinking. a lottt of people go.. and it's always the thing that everyone is talking about the week after that in school.. i havent gone to any yet.. but i really want to. what are some tips to like "fake drink" or only drink a little? Be your own person and stick to your morals, underage drinking happens, but so does getting caught, and i dont think one night of fun is worth losing your parents trust and getting in trouble with the law.

i have a running problem. i can only run for like 2 min and after that i'm so tired that really sucks and i always start running soooo fast and after 2 min i'm tired! what can i do to last longer? i know i'm breathing right! and in about 3 weeks my school has this running compatition and i dont wanna win but i also dont wanna ambaress myself so pleeaaassee help me!!! To be totally honest, the very beginning of any run, fast or slow, is the hardest part. I am a looong distance runner and i dont know too much about sprinting but as far as distance goes, once you break the 2 min barrier, it gets easier, lots easier.
Make sure that you do a proper warm up and stretches. Doing this gets the blood moving to all of your muscles adn prevents lactate acid from pooling (this stuff is what makes you feel fatigue) So i hope i've helped, you just have to slowly build your endurance and take it easy, your body will let you know when your pushing to hard.
also, there are two types of pain, there is the "i am tired from running" pain and the "i am injured" pain, make sure you know the difference!

i hate my dad. its not like one of those days that you just got mad and hate someone. i hate him. my mom knows it. if hes not dead by the time im 18 im willing to pay for a hit man to kill him. my mom knows it. he is so mean to me. he hits me sometimes. i hate it! no one understands. and dont say i should tell because i told my mom and shes waiting for my dad to get some money cause hes sueing these people for hurting his leg. so any advice? You are probably right, know one who hasnt expierienced it could ever imagine the horrors of an abused life. Although you feel like you want to kill him, that is NOT the way to go. If you murder your father, you will go to jail, and he will ruin your hope for a better life. Being behind bars is not going to be any better than what your life is now.
You need to get help, if your mom is aware of the abuse and is doing nothing than you must seek help on your own. You shouldnt have to live in fear.
