I was thinking of upgrading to iLife 09 for the better iMovie program because 08 is missing a ton, but apparently you can buy imovie 06 also...which is better?? (link)

imovie 06 is older then 08. so it would be a downgrade.
apple offered imovie 06 with ilife08 because some computer were slower and could only run the older imovie.
ilife09 is good. See if you can get a student discount

I have no idea what I did. I didn't install anything or do anything I don't usually do.
I turn on my laptop, it goes to 'Disk Check' due to some error. It doesn't even move from 0% in 30 minutes so I shut down and turn on my laptop again and skip the disk check.
My desktop loads up and I get this message:

Everything seems fine except my laptop speakers don't work anymore.
When I go to Control Panel, it says that there are no speakers.
But there are, and they were working on earlier on this morning.

To me the speaker thing seems unrelated. I would not worry about it. Go under Computer management, under device manager. See if there are any questions marks. if there are you need that driver. I would restart again.

Why do you want it and what do you want it for? some good gadget blogs that review phones are gizmodo.com. Also what network are you going to use the phone on? if you buy a 3G phone that is made in europe it will not work 3G in usa.

So I have been diagnosed with a thyroid problem. I had to quit cheering, and I have been taking my medicane. They told me it shrunk a little. But having this worries me to death!! I balled my eyes out the first day they told me, because I had to quit and the things they told me about it.
But im just worried out of my mind that it will get worse, they told me I could have a heart attack.
Also they said " my body thinks its running a 24 hr marathon." Thats how fast my heart is beating.. and how it tells me to eat eat, eat. Don't sleep. Ect. I gained alot of weight! I also get all emotional about it when its brought up! I feel so lame, but I dont know what to do..

I have hypothriodism. Where my body simply does not produce the thyriod hormone. I have had this problem for over 5 years and it is very stable. I have to take medicine every day in the morning and that is about it. Once doctors get things straightened out and find something that works it makes life easier.
I don't know alot about graves disease itself. But usually they can remove the thyriod. Then you would take a medicine like me.
What they said s true. Good luck and it is something that is cureable

I had to wipe everything from my computer and start from scratch. I didn't have a Windows CD, so used a friends.. and it was pretty crap, cos it seems like I had to download everything myself anyway.
There's one thing I'm stuck on, though.
When I plug my ipod/iphone in, this comes up:

you need to get all the drivers. That would be the chipset driver. If you can find your model number is it fairly easy to search for the drivers on that companies website.

Earlier on today, I was deleting and transferring some stuff on my laptop to my exHD.
Later on I put a CD in the laptop and now a message pops up and says ''No CD/DVD-ROM drive found''
I don't know how or why, but now my cd drive is gone. It was there before I started to transfer the things.
Is there any way to get it back?
I really need help with this!!

It makes sense. That means the driving is missing.
I would restart and before windows starts up quickly hit "f8" and then select the option for last good configuration. also if that doesn't work you could possible good for the driver. type in "HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA-T10N driver" or something like that. or depending who makes the computer it would be on there site.

OK, so there is this really anoying girl. Shes really stupid to, Im not saying that im like a genuis or anything but she is older than me and stupider. She says stuff like "They dont use dimonds for jewlery anymore", "They only discoverd white tigers a few years ago", "They stoped doing carrage rides in New Orleans along time ago"(we live in baton rouge LA), "Global warming is going to kill us all in the next ten years", "You lived in new mexico? You must speak fluante spanish". Yes she said those all, those are not exampals. This time she said that people like Demi Lovato, Miley Cyrus, and Taylor Swift were rock n roll. I say that KISS, Ozzy Osboune, U2, The Who, AC/DC, The Rolling Stones, and people like that are rock not the pop princesses of today. How can I tell this girl that she is the dumbest person ever, that those singers are the popiest(is that a word) artist out there, that it has been a long while since they discoverd white tigers, if you walk into a jewrey store all you will see is dimonds, if you walk on the streets in New Orleans you will see about 35 carriges riding around, and that New Mexico is in the united states without being mean? I disagree with the first two. Although that could be the case, maybe he has traumatizing issues in the past that he does not like kissing. Someone very close to me also had that problem. I would talk with him about it

Basically, my volume will work for whenever I use itunes, or windows media. But if I try to listen to someone's myspace song, or if I try to watch a youtube video, my volume won't work.
I've checked all my music options/etc. that i can think of, and everything seems normal.

make sure the volume at the bottom right of youtube, etc is turned up. also what web browser are you using? try a different one such as googles chrome, firefox, or opera

So I have comcast internet and it normally is pretty fast ,but lately its been really slow... since my hard-drive crashed, and we got it fixed it was really fast. but then i downloaded like aim, and itunes to my desktop and computer and its been really slow. like downloading pictures and videos... its annoying and i was wondering if anyone knew how to fix it, like do i have to uninstall stuff. or what..
another question i have is again since my computer crashed and go fixed my internet and like everything on the screen got like really bigger than usual and i was also wondering how you fix this.

Comcast generally doesn't help with that except for a really high fee. Because it has nothing to do with the connection there giving you. I would try a few things. First with your screen depending if your on vista right click and select personalize and display. you need to make the resolution bigger. Also possible when it was fixed you know longer have drivers for graphics. Maybe internet as well. If you have vista go under update. View optional updates and install all of the optional ones except for other languages. XP i would to know the model number. But same thing you can adjust screen resolution under display in control panel. Again don't. Also is it a laptop or a desktop? is it directly plugged into the comcast modem? If so shutdown the computer. Unplug the modem for 1 minute. plug the power back in, wait a minute then turn your computer back on

my sims2 game has been crashing every time i play lately. no exact time when it does, but the average game play i get is arounf 30-45 minutes. i've notice it's been acting up since i've been downloading custom content, and i've tried deleting some of it, but it still crashes. also, it started after i got the h&m fashion... my question is, could i maybe uninstall the h&m one??? because, i really don't want to start all my neighborhoods over, so if i just reinstalled that one could it possibly stop the crashing? or would it take any affect on my sims that i already have?
any advice would be helpful.
and no, i have no idea how to see my "specs" or whatever, so if anyone asks me what they are, they're going to have to tell me how. (link)

If you insert the disk to reinstall it should give you the option to repair. You could backup your game saves at least manually which might be tricky depending on your computer knowledge. I would insert the disk. usually it will give you an option to either modify, repair, or uninstall.

I have just recently started Zoloft about 3 days now and i know it takes awhile before it takes affect and i have read about all these side affects and i'm nervous about taking it because i've heard about bad expriences of weaning off the medication. I have been going through alot emotionally and My anxiety has gotten worse in the last few months but i can't really tell if it's anxiety, depression or maybe if i just have a mood disorder, somthing has gotten worse. My doctor is not very good about the situation and i have seen others and i've been trying to get an appt. to see soemone but where i live it's difficult i had to wait for almost 2 months to get the appt. that i have upcoming and i feel as if i can't wait any longer and don't know if i can wait another month before this meds work! has anyone taken Zoloft before? i have heard that it is doctors first choice and it sometimes takes awhile before you find the right meds. I know it's a common medication for this illness and just wanted to hear some feed back about it if people have taken it before. Thanks (link)

Medication effects everyone differently. That's why there are side effects. They most likely will not happen. Also if you do experience anything most of the time they go away once your body gets used to it after a few weeks. Some people zoloft will be there life saver. Others it wont work at all. Also make sure you are seeing a therapist or something of that nature. Really medicaiton is just part of the answer.

The graphic card matters more for gaming. If you are browsing the web really you need to be focused on ram to. I did not look at the graphics card to closely. Usually intel laptops comes with integrated intel. graphic media accelerator which is extremely weak for any game. The ones with AMD have nvidia integrated, which is much much better. All of them had more then enough ram. Also you selected fairly big models. What is your use for it? if you are carrying it around alot a 17" is not a wise idea.

shut off and on the phone. take the battery out and put it back in. if not call cell company and they can block it from working, therefore being charged. but then hard to get back

Is there a way to send a whole file folder as an attachment to an email? I have a whole folder of pictures that I want to send and I really don't want to attach them all separately...

I would zip the folder up and send with mediafire.com
then use that link in the email. much faster and email limits how much you can send. you can have as many 100mg files there as you want :)

Was the file extension? such as .deb ?
probably you need to right click and install with pkg manager. If not and i recal correctly. google just made alot of there programs not really for linux. but windows .exe that worked with then linux emulator wine. winehq.org
it's the ubuntu repository. Wine does not work with x64.
