Ive noticed my friends all around me are starting to get married. Sometimes I feel the pressure from society that its a womans role or duty to define herself as a wife and a mother...but somehow I dont think I am equipped with those feelings. I feel like I had a taste of what living with someone was like. I was with a guy for 3 and a half years--I loved him to death and I honestly think I couldn't have found a better guy or even imagine it, and somehow every morning when I wake up and have breakfast with the person, I dont feel good--it feels weird..the night before would be exciting and wild and fun but in the morning I feel like a domesticated housewife getting ready for the day and seeing my "husband" off to work. Maybe I have intimacy issues. I like spending time with people and having fun when I feel like it and I like being alone when I feel like it. I don't want to live with someone that has to be exposed to my moods 24/7, I am just not comfortable with it nor am I comfortable with their moodiness. Girlfriends are a different story. I think that as long as I find plenty of friends and activities in my life I will be okay...but I feel a little weird for feeling this way because I love being in love. I dont know..maybe its because every single person in my family is divorced...or maybe because relationships are so fickle nowadays and everybody seems to leave one another..I am probably scared of the investment. P.S.--At some point in my relationships when they last a long time--I always do something to sabotage it..its as if I really dont want it to last. What is going on with me? Are these real indicators or am I just jaded or is it my age? I am 25 years old. (link)

i think you are just scared of a commitment. since you know that nowadays when people get married, they usually don't stay together because most people just rush in to marriages and they don't take the time to get to know that person. also, since you have had a broken heart so many times, you are scared that when you get married your husband will just break your heart. but even though you feel you are forced to get married since everyone else around you is, just remember that you don't have to get married until your ready, and nobody will look down on you because you are not. but what my true advice to you is, just keep looking for a guy that makes you truly happy, and when you find him you won't feel like a house wife because you will truly be in love.

I know if I dry my wool sweaters they're shrink, but I don't have time to lay these things out to dry... can I just blow dry them? Will that shrink them just like a dryer would? (link)

ok, to tell you the truth, i have never really tried to blow dry my shirts with a hair dryer, but just in case, don't try it. maybe just wash your clothes a couple days before you wear them. hope this helpes!

if you really want to chang your look, i say go right ahead and do it. if you like the color black, and if you think fire is pretty, then why should anyone else care. as long as you dont change your personality, your friends shouldn't have a problem with it. and if they do, i think you should find some friends that actually like you for who you are! well i hope i could help!

My hair looks good when I first wash and dry it, but over the course of the day it just goes really flat and looses all its sexy waviness and body. I've tried switching shampoos, using mouse or gel, all sorts of things, but nothing seems to work. What's the trick here? (link)

well, to keep up the body, try buying a shampoo that gives you hair lots of body and volume. also, don't use as much gel or mouse. just try using the shampoo and blow drying your hair upside down to give it more body. hope i helped!

well, if your looking for a way to style your hair and get totally cute clothes, then heres a good way. where i live, theres a store called plato's closet. it's like a consingnment shop but with name brand clothes like, american eagle abercrombie, hollister, etc. and belevie it or not, they have really cute clothes there. so if i were you, shop at a consingment store that sells name brand clothes. no one will ever know the difference. also, if you don't have a store like that, then go to the mall, and go to L.S. ayres. they have the cutest stuff there! but about your hair....well, have you ever tried curling it? that could be cute. or just wearin it straight. oh and if it's layered your could flip up the ends. well i hope i helped you out! good luck!

my friends and my ex bfs all tell me that im beautiful/pretty but i dont believe it. i have low self-esteem and i cant get over it. i dont think im pretty at all. except my eyes. i like my eyes. i think i have a big nose, bad lips, stupid looking hair and i think im fat and everything and my best friend says that my low self-esteem is a big turn off but i dont wanna think im all that or anything and i just cant help but think im ugly and not good enough (link)

having low self-esteem is definalty not a good thing. i don't have to deal with low self-esteem, but just remeber that when you think you are ugly, fat, etc. that there are other people that don't think so. but you should really try your best to think of yourself better because when your friend tells you that low self-esteem is a big turn off, she is right. my best friend is just like you. she thinks she is fat and she always calls herself ugly. but she is a very pretty girl and everyone likes her because she is so nice. but no matter how many times i tell her that she is not fat, she never agrees with me. so usually we end up aruging about it. and she dosen't get that many boyfriends because she is always putting herself down. it just gets annoying listing to her talk bad about herself. so really try your best and think postitive about yourself. just remeber, just because you don't think your pretty, other people do. and the most important thing of all to remeber is that the real beauty is on the inside not the outside!

i know that your friend always steals your guy away from you everytime you go out. but if she keeps taking him from you, maybe that means he truly has more feelings for her and not you. sorry to put it so blunt but that could be the truth. i don't think you should risk your friendship over a guy even though you like him alot. there are going to be other guys. most likely ones that end up being better than this one. just whatever you do, don't try and break up your friend and you x. just let them be, and if they end up breaking up for good, you may still have a chance with him. good luck with whatever you choose!

look, i can so totally tell that you really like this guy. ALOT. and im sure he likes you to. but you gotta relize that you are only 13 and just because you wanna real realationship doesn't mean he does. guys don't mature as fast as girls do, and he may look at being in a relationship differntly than how you see it. but if he can't act like a boyfriend around friends, then i say you should talk to him about it, and if he actually LOVES you like he says he does, then he will be able to understand. but if he doesn't change his ways, then break up. there are other fish in the sea that could treat you better. good luck with whatever you do!

I am a senior in highschool and once i graduate i would like to go into fashion designing or interior designing. I have "shadowed" an interior designer before and have helped people in their rooms with designs. I am also curretly designing my prom dress and would hopefully some day like to design my wedding dress. Just one concern.... What if i am totally out of my league and really have no clue with what i am doing. What if i go to college and major in this and then find out that it isnt for me? hey, ummmmm...defiantly don't dye your hair maroon. it would make you look even paler because of the dark red color. plus, it's to wild. i say you should just dye your a hair a redish blondish color. maybe like a strawberry blonde if you want a change for your normal color. but if you want to get away from blonde all together, then do what the other person said and go for the nicole kidman color.

well, it really is none of his business, but if it's no big deal, and he wants to know that bad then tell him. But if it is a big deal, i think you should tell him whats going on, and if he loves you then he will understand. you will work things out better if you tell him the truth on everything thats going on.

i think you should go for it, since you know someone in his family, you know that he can't be a total creep. but when you go on the date, definatly have him bring a friend, and you bring a friend. so that way, when you guys run out of things to talk about, there is someone else there to talk to. it will also help not make things feel so awkward.
