Ok I'm 17, I started a page here before but stopped for a while. I decided to start another one because I'm thinking about going into psych, and because I like helping people and trying to give them advice.
My friends have always said that they like coming to me because I really listen to them, and give them good advice from different viewpoints.
Much of the health advice I give is things I've picked up from my girlfriend, her family is very into being fit, and I've picked up a lot from her, and I believe I've goten to the point where I can give good health advice.

Well first of all, you said you've never been kissed because you're prude. Do you want him to kiss you? If not then you should explain that to him before he tries, he should understand.
If you do want him to kiss you, then you shouldn't worry about it. kissing really does come naturally, it's not something that you can really be told. you just need to get lost in the moment and do what feels right when it feels right.

ok my boyfriend who lives in the same town as me went to florida for a month and i really miss him. the day before he left, he slept over and my house and we had so much fun and i didnt want him to go. but i really miss him. i cant call him because of long distance. what should i do? help.. i'll rate 5's for sure!! That must be tough.. my girlfriend recently went out of state, but it was only for a week, not a month. but one thing I did that helped was I wrote her a letter everyday she was gone... I'm not saying you should necessarily do it every day, but you could still try writing to him. And if you can't get the letters to him, then just save them up and give them to him when he gets back. I'm sure he'll absolutely love it, I did when my girl did it for me. =)

Hey you guys seem to have really good taste in movies. I was wondering if you'd give me any recomendations. Anything that deals with

Actually my two favorite movies would be good here.. theyre not that well known of movies but you should be able to find them somewhere.
First is "Donnie Darko".. that's a really complex movie, I had to watch it a couple times to understand it, and i still find new things out every time i watch it. It's about this 17 year old guy dealing with teenage life and has time travel mixed in.
The second is "Bang Bang You're Dead". It's another one about teenage life, but this one deals more with school and how kids get teased, more issues dealing with violence in/related to school.

18/M About 6 months ago i was burned bigtime by a girl that i liked. In retrospect i went overboard with planing out every miniscule detail. Now a new girl has found her way into my life. She likes the same things as me and shares the same musical interest, BUT the problem is that i am also good friends with her parents and im not sure if they would let her date yet. What would be a good way to get the parents approval. (The parents own a local coffee shop that I frequent) (link)

Already knowing her parents puts you ahead in a lot of ways, especially if you're friends with her parents. That should mean that they trust you already, and would hopefully trust you with their daughter. If you need to, let them know that they'd be in better hands trusting their daughter with you than with some guy that they don't know, and don't know his intentions.
Just explain to them that their daughter is safe with you and that they don't need to worry about anything, and hopefully they'll find it a good sign that you came to them and asked them first before you asked her.
And remember, the more social and open the event and the closer it is to daytime, the better.

All I can say is.. well it happens. But there are things you can do to try and prevent it from happening. You can always just take things really slow, and reallly get to know the girl before getting too close to her. Not all girls are evil, just some of them. =P I'm not trying to be sexist or anything though, theres a l ot of guys that are evil too.
But I think you should just get to know her before letting her in too close to you.

ok so theres this guy and i really like him and he really likes me. but were not going out. its a long story. anyways he asked me if i have ever kissed anyone and i said no and he was like well maybe i can change that next time we go to the movies. i was like um..ok. but now i dont no wat to do. because we might go to the movies on sunday. and like i dont no if i really want to kiss him. part of me does and part of me doesn't. if i don't how do i tell him? please help me i will rate high! thanks in advance! I think if you're doubting it, especially this much, you shouldn't kiss him. You shouldn't do anything you might not want to do, you should think things through a lot before you do them, especially something like this. Giving away your first kiss shouldn't be taken lightly, it should be with someone yuo're sure you want to do it with.
You can tell him by just talking to him, tell him that you really don't think you're ready for your first kiss yet. He should understand, and if he doesn't then it's not really worth it anyway.

my friend likes me a lot.. and he told me he did and he told my friends he did.. and sometimes all he does is tell me how much he cares about me.. but then out of nowhere he stops calling me and ignores me and then a few days later hell call me again.. why does he do this? (link)

There's a couple reasons this could be going on. The least plausible but still possible answer is that he just gets too busy or has too hectic of a day and cant find the time to call you and have a good long conversation.
another reason is that he might just feel awkward doing so.. have you told him your feelings for him? he might just be trying to stay back and not call you too much, especially if he thinks your not interested, or not interested as much as he is. He also might be worried about seeming stalkerish or too clingy, nobody wants to seem like that.
I'd say maybe hes playing hard to get, but that doesnt make sense with telling you and your friends that he likes you. =P

AHHH I start high school tomorrow and I haven't been to public school since fourth grade. i'm really nervous :-/. 1stly, because i don't know ANYONE, and i'm afraid i'm not gonna make any friends. 2ndly, i'm gonna be terrible with finding classes, and with all the different teachers! so... Heheh I remember those days.. when I started high school, I had been going to catholic school all my life and then I was suddenly changed to a public school, where I didn't know anyone. You just gotta realize a couple things.. first being that you will be nervous.. but evreyone else will be too. Remember, theres a whole lot of other freshmen in the same shoes as you. Yeah, some of them already seem to fit in, but there are other kids that feel just as awkward as you, if not moreso.
Just remember that you will make friends, just try to be nice to people. theres always people that are outgoing enough to talk to others.. even if your not then someone else is and theyll end up talking to you. Just be nice and everything should be fine.. it did with me and I'm one of the quietest people you'll ever meet, now I'm going to be a senior this upcoming year and at least half my graduating class at least knows who I am.
And finding classes, that's another thing that allll the new people will be going through. Again, with few exceptions, but there is still the majority of people that are just as lost as you. Just don't freak out, stay calm, and remember the teachers should understand if you're late, and the kids won't laugh at you.

Why would your friends be telling you to break up with him? I think you should do whatever makes you happy. If you like being with him, if you like spending time with him and having him close to you, then you should stay with him. You definately shouldnt let anyone make you reconsider how you feel about someone, or how you feel around them, whether theyre your friends or not. Any more questions feel free to inbox me.

You definately shouldnt just do it to get it out of the way. My first kiss.. I admit was a mistake. I wish I had kept it or someone that meant more to me, instead of just taking the chance when I could get it.
But when it does happen for you, make sure that it's with someone you really care about and want to have something special with, because your first kiss is something you should cherish, not regret. Inbox me if you have any more questions please.

I was at this workshop thingy today. There was this one girl who's about my age and i really wanted to talk to her. She's cute and seemed nice when i met her. But i'll only get to see her for a couple more days. I don't think i'm gay so don't mention that..i'm a young/f by the way. What's the point of even getting to know her if i wont see her???? What's the point in not getting to know her? Even if you only get to know her for a couple days, theres no point in not making another friend. you can have fun getting to know her while you can, and talk to her on the phone if you cant see her again or email or somehow keep in touch. I dont see why you wouldnt be able to hang out or anything after the workshop though. It's always nice to make new friends and talk to people. Inbox me if you have any more questions.
