i got stung by a wasp yesterday and today my arm swelled up alot how can i get the swelling to go down (link)
|
if anyone you know smokes or uses tobacco products, try this:
mix tobacco with enough cool water to make it fairly wet so it all sticks together
make enough to cover the site of the sting
leave it on until it dries, you can hold it down with a bandage if you need to
by the time it dries, all of the sting and most of the swelling should be gone
if no home remedies work in a reasonable amount of time, call your dr and askfor a cortisone shot!

I have to do a demostration for 4-h& it has to be on anything, what are some easy things I can do a demonstration on. :) Thank you. (link)

Make something to eat. You get to demonstrate how to fix it and then bonus points for having something to offer to eat!!! Simple things would be a milkshake or banana split, fruit salad, no-bake cookies, sandwich, etc.

alriht please dont make fun of me. its just something that has been happening to me my whole life.seriously since i was a little kid i have gotten cyst-like red bumps on my butt. [its lame i dont even have pimples on my face!] they come and go and they vary in size, sometimes they drain. they just come and go and im tihhnking that in the very near future could be possibly very embarrassing. please if anybody knows any long term solutions to this problem help me out. i dont know who else to ask. use preparation-H to dry them up, then use a loofah brush in the shower to remove pore clogs and dry skin

My body temp is always around 96.7 when it's supposed to be 98.6. My body temperature has never been normal! Is my body temp. considered low and can it affect my health in any way? Also WHY is it so low?
I`m really scared =). (link)
|
98.6 is more of an average. Do you feel cold? You might be anemic or have poor circulation too. If you are cold alot or don't feel good, you might ask a dr. otherwise I wouldn't worry too much about it.

fool proof trick -
Stand facing a wall, door jamb, etc. Fold your arms and hold them out in front of you like Jeannie (as in I Dream of...). Step forward until your arms/elbows are touching the wall. Put your feet about shoulder-width apart. Now, stick your pelvis out until it touches the wall. Straighten up, then repeat. About 5-6 times usually does the trick. You can do it at school or wherever. People may think you're a little odd, but they do not have to know why :) I always say I am stretching my back!

Prevention is the best. When you get home, or before you go to sleep at least, drink as much water as you can stand. If you wake up at any point, take a couple of aspirin, again with as much water as you can stand, and go back to sleep. This will keep you hydrated, which heads off the headache and helps you get the alcohol out of your system that uch faster.

I recently broke both of my arms, I had a terrible dislocation and fracture on my right elbow and both bones in my left forearm are broken. This happened in a rock climbing accident(i've been climbing for 5 years and I decided to go without a rope one day) Anyways, the injuries aren't too serious and the bones should heal and be even stronger by the time it's done healing. However, I do have a serious dilemma. With both my arm in casts, how do i wipe my own butt when I go to the bathroom? (in case you're wondering, it took me a looong time to type this question) (link)
|
Instead of asking a friend or family member to wipe your butt, why don't you ask them for help installing a toilet seat bidet? Google "bidet" to see just some of the toilet seats with a bidet mechanism built into them that are available. Good luck! Maybe I should settle for at least better luck?

whats ecstacy do to you, increases your sex..something? whats that phrase called again?..."it gets you horny for sex".. i cant exactly remember what it does, but something to do with sex. (link)
|
Ecstasy is actually a modd enhancer--if you're already in a bad mood, it will keep you there, although maybe with a twist. If you are in a good mood, it will make it better. For example, if you feel like meeting someone new, in can make you less inhibited. I guess if you were looking to hook up, it could work that way.

Hello! I have a pair of dark blue jeans that I really want to punk out. I don't have a sewing machine but I have a few scraps of fabric I'd love to add, and I want to kinda rip it up and make the holes look natural. Any ideas? Links to sites and/or pictures that would help inspire would be greatly appreciated. Oh- the wierder designs and patterns, the better. I want these jeans to really stand out and look as punky as possible. Thanks! (link)
|
If your definition of punk is the same as mine, then try one or more of the following:
Embellishments:
1. Cut a long slit. Then pin the sides of the slit together with safety pins (the bigger the pins the better).
2. Remove the belt loops, if there are any. Make the holes where the loops were big enough to thread a strip of leather, small chain, piece of fabric etc. through them like a belt.
3. Add buttons, patches, etc.
4. Add designs with fabric paint. Use this one sparingly, it can be cheesy if overdone.
Aging:
1. You can use bleach to create spots, patterns, etc. Get creative. When you are satisfied with your design, be sure to wash the pants really well to stop the bleaching process.
2. Roll the jeans into a bundle/ball as if you were going to tie-dye them. Doesn't hurt to fill them with sharp rocks first. Then, drag them around behind your car for a few days. Seriously.
3. Also, just washing them a few times in hot water will help to age them, fray any holes, etc.
Don't ask me how I know this stuff. Do let me know how they turn out!

Target.com has something pretty cool called the Surfer Girl Collection. Most of it is only available for purchase online, not in stores. But, it includes bedding and accessories and seems to me to be very affordable. PBTeen.com also has some stuff that might work. It is a little more pricey, and you would have to pick and choose rather than purchasing a "collection".

Ugh. I hate to talk about global warming and pollution and stuff, but... What is pollution like in colorado??? (link)
|
The state and people of Colorado have taken pollution reduction very personally:)
The Front Range used to be really bad because of traffic/population. It still has bad days, but it is much better than it used to be. Overall, Colorado tries very hard to limit/reduce pollution though. The cities have pretty decent public transportation. The more rural areas have less of a problem. I have never noticed any complaints about industrial pollution.
If you have allergies or respiratory problems, Colorado can be a great or horrible place, depending on your issue. The combination of very dry air and more evergreen than leafy trees makes the air better for some people. The thinner air at higher altitudes can be a problem for some though.
I guess depending on your issue with pollution (allergies, type of, philosophy of, etc.), Colorado has advantages over more humid and more densely populated areas.

My dad's 50th birthday is this weekend and at his birthday party, im suppose to make a birthday speech (im 17 fyi)in front of 30-some of his guests and 4 of my friends.. and i dont know what to talk about! Im suppose to be funny and entertaining and stuff but i dont know what to talk about.. any suggestions on what to talk about? i dont have many funny memories of him or anything >__< please help! the party is on saturday (link)
|
Start by thinking about what you want others to know about your dad, funny or otherwise. Try jotting down an outline and practicing before the big day. This will help you feel less nervous and more prepared. Then plan to end by telling your dad how you feel about him. This part can be less polished and more from the heart.
There must be a good reason you were asked to do this, so I am sure you will do great!

does anyone know of any jobs that you can get at 14 years old ? or 15, cuz i`m turning 15 soon. (link)
|
There are 2 parts to this question. If you are asking about what type of job you can get, that is really up to you and where you live. What would you like to do? If you are asking about places that will hire a 14-year old, that's different. Some states require a work permit for people under 16. Where I live, a work permit is an agreement between your parents and your employer that you can only work a certain number of hours per week, can't work later than 8 pm on a school night, etc. Your school should have this info. I know from experience that it will impress some employers if you already have this info before you apply for the job. Good luck!
