The Front Range used to be really bad because of traffic/population. It still has bad days, but it is much better than it used to be. Overall, Colorado tries very hard to limit/reduce pollution though. The cities have pretty decent public transportation. The more rural areas have less of a problem. I have never noticed any complaints about industrial pollution.
If you have allergies or respiratory problems, Colorado can be a great or horrible place, depending on your issue. The combination of very dry air and more evergreen than leafy trees makes the air better for some people. The thinner air at higher altitudes can be a problem for some though.
I guess depending on your issue with pollution (allergies, type of, philosophy of, etc.), Colorado has advantages over more humid and more densely populated areas. [ EllieGray's advice column | Ask EllieGray A Question ]
