personally if i were you i would wait and get to know the dog, that way you can choose a name that fits him/her

They both smell the same but as long as you give them baths it doesnt matter.im more of a dog person but go to a pet store with an open mind, get what catches your eye. even better, go to a pound or adoption center and save a life!
ok...so i've been wanting to get this puppy for SOO LONG! i'm fed up with my mom saying no and yelling at me for it. How are some ways i could get my mom to let me get this dog? I know how to take care of it because i take better care of my cousins dog than he does...but my mom doesnt let me do anything. i do everything for her. i take care of my cat, sister, i clean the house. i let her go out on weekends with her boyfriend while i have to stay home and watch my sister. i compromise with her. i do everything for her and she cant even let me get this dog! how could i get her to get it?
guilt trip? or try not to help as much as punishment but that might backfire so i would give her a guilt trip about how you want to hang out with your friends but you have to stay home and now all you want is a little dog to keep you company that you'll take care of but its not enough? see? good luck

My Hermit crabs have been acting funny lately! One of them is running around with no shell and the others havent came out from under the sand for weeeks.. is this normal for them?

you should always have extra shells available for your hermit crabs, its old shell is probably too small. and its ok for a hermit crab to stay under the sand... they like to dig
in two weeks im going to florida and we'll be gone for 17 days. I have a cat and i was thinking about asking a friend to come by and take care of him. (for money of course) I was wondering would the cat get too lonely being that we wont be around for so long and my friend will only be in the house for five minutes to feed him and change his litter box? Another option is the kennel..but i hear they are very expensive. Do you know about how expensive they are? Should i have my friend come by or take my cat to a kennel? My dog is going on ten (thats like around 70 in human years) he's always been kinda weird but I love him so much. He's on medication because he's a shar pei and has a short attention span and stuff. His meds are kinda like the add medication for dogs. Anyways he also has seizures. He doesn't get them to often but when he does they scare me a lot. To top it all off about a month or two ago he has to have a tumor removed from his left armpit so that he wouldn't die. Recently we've noticed its come back on the other leg. The vet can't do anything about it and he's going to die. I don't know how I'll survive without him. I've known this dog since I was like 4 and can't remember not having him. Please help me to figure out what to do when he is gone. I no I'll miss him a lot.
ok listen to me b/c i kno what im talking about. dont give up hope! my dog is 14 years old and has a tumor in her nose that cannot be removed... her nose bleeds all the time and she has a hard time breathing through her nose. anyway, 4 years ago the doctor said make sure shes happy and everything like she was going to die and now she's still going!
ok, well i was on vacation for 9 days, i came back to find my hamster, decaying alive! It's so gross and nasty, i feel so bad for him, idk what to do! He has part of his skin missing, and fur, he can't walk or anything, i feel so bad. My parents won't let me take him to the vet, i think he has been alive for about 2 yrs or 1 1/2.....what should i do? PLEASE I NEED HELP :( HE IS MY BABY, I'LL DIE WITHOUT HIM!
even if he is "ur baby" u dont want him 2 suffer either so call the vet 2 see if anything can b done that not 2 expensive or put him/her 2 rest
I know you can never have too much love for a pet, but after you meet my friend you probably won't want to see another cat again... my friend is always talking about who, what, when, where, why, about her CAT! It's driving me crazy! Whenever she stops talking about guys she's always on to talking about her cat. I need so major advice to help me to avoid her talking about her pets!

ok this is what u do, one whole day clean everything in your room. then after that put everything u use away when your done with it and then every sunday or sometihng clean up your room and dust and stuff. good luck!
I wanna start a hermit crab activist group in my state, because I, and others, believe that Hermit Crabs (land)are treated inhumanely. In pet stores they're always in tanks with out lights or heat lamps or spoges or the waters too deep and theyve all drowned in the water bowl. I HATE HOW THE POOR DEARS ARE TREATED!!
But i have my ways of getting them better living quaters. By Buying them all. like ....12 at a time from my local pet store....i buy every single one !!! Otherwise i go to the dude at the counter and tell him to clean out the tank once in a while. Or offer to clean it myself. Once i burst into tears cos all the poor little hermies were shell-less and food-less and it was AWFUL!!!
So Damnit, how can i get a group started in my town?? Can i spread the word around to my hermie friends and start an organisation that re homes them and adopts them??? Cos that would be cool.
Remember people- Hermit Crabs can live up to 120 years old in captivity, thses guys are pets for life, not just for christmas.

i kno how u feel! i bought 2 hermit crabs when they were half dead! the guy was throwing the herimts crabs in 2 piles, dead and half dead and when i asked why they were dead they guy said b/c they didnt have water!!! how hard is it 2 fill a sponge with water!!! so u have my support! good luck
all my pets have died and my mom says i cant get anymore because she thinks i am not responsible. what do i do?
try to get a pet that is easy to care for, hermit crabs are easy and so are sea monkeys or maybe a fish. after seeing you take care of an easy pet then your mom will let you take on more responsibility.
I need to push some crap that's going on to the side and teach a doggie my aunt has.
He is full of energy at the moment, and I want to teach him tricks, the usual ones, but I don't know how.

I know it's my aunt's dog, and I should let her teach him, blah blah blah, but she is a very busy person.
my dog was trained by my stepdad when she was young and this is what he did... he wanted 2 teach her to not leave the property without the gate being closed so he would put the dog on the stoop and walk into the street and if the dog stayed on the stoop he would get a treat and if he did move he would be put back on the stoop. or if u wanna teach sit and stay use treats and like make the dog sit when u say sit and give he/her a treat then stop helping her after a couple of times. good luck!

you could get a turtle, a dog, bunny, hermit crabs (i have them), sea monkeys, ferret, gerbal, mouse, snake, lizard, snail, pig (can be a pet lol), bird, ummmm thats it. good luck
