One of my closest friends just recently admitted to me something that I found quite disturbing.
She told me a couple days ago " no offense, but my cats are more important to me than any of my friends or family.
She said if her house were on fire the first thing she would grad were her cats, and not her parents or friends!!
I didn't say anything but I was quite upset. I would always pick my friends and family over my pets.
Am i overreacting to being upset? (link)

i hate to sound mean or whatever but that is her choice. she isnt saying "ohh i would ONLY save my pets" she just said "i would save my pets 1st". this isnt lyk she doesnt care about you. My pets/animals are very important to me. This definately doesnt mean i hate or want my friends to die. NO WAY and im sure your friend is the same way. people have different opinions and you sometimes just have to accept it...even if you don't like it. hope i didnt sound rude or anything!

our gruop of friends is falling apart.wel we were invited to go to this house party last saturday but only one of us could go my freind .she went and ever since she went she just dropped us hasnt said two words all week.i dont want to lose her as a freind but i cant carry on like this?what can we?anyone got ne ideas.plse reply swn xxxx (link)

Just start talking to your friend, like you normally used to, don't act all awkward or anything. Just talk about the usual stuff you had before and try to carry on a conversation and if she still doesnt talk much, just simply (and calmly) ask her why she has changed. Explain to her how your friendship is important to you and your ohter "group of friends". hope i helped

My friend has just decided that he would like to join the army. I think this is crazy because he is really sensitive and I don't think he could handle it. It doesnt really help matters that I really like like him. I don't want him to go, I'm scared something bad will happen to him or that he'll be killed. I really don't think he should go because of the way he is. What should I say to him to stop him going, I really don't think he would be able to survive it.

well you cant really decide for your friend what he does in his life, instead you can talk to him about how you are concerned about his safety. and that he is a really good friend and how much it would impact you if he left, just tell him your feelings about the whole situation or else he won't know. Although you are supposed to support your friends, so tell him that you support him but that you are concerned..i hope all goes well and i hope i helped a bit *twizz

ok obviously ur friend is not a "good trustworthy" friend. im not saying that u shud just ditch ur friend BUT u shud just kind of make her a smaller friend on ur line....a good friend will not tell ur secrets and will beleive u. there may be some reasons she wrote this on the board
A)for attention
B)to embarass you(b'cuz she is not a TRUE friend)
C)other
if u get my point wat im trying to say is that to prevent this from happening again..tell this girl that she should respect u if she is ur friend...in my opinion a friend is someone who is honest,kind,tRUSTWORTHY---not someone who tells ur secrets. so rite now...u just gotta know that wat she wrote on the board is not true and if u know its not true then who cares about everyone else! i kno this was a lot to read..but i really hope this helps!!

My sweet 16 (which also happens 2 b my Golden birthday) is coming up soon! I really wanna have an awesome party this year 4 my bday, except I don't exactly have a cool house 2 party at. Could any1 give me any ideas that I could (hopefully) do @ home? (I'm also willing 2 take ideas that wouldn't b @ my house.)

im only 14 but for my 16th b-day i am having a dance party with all my favorite music and favorite freinds and going to a hotel party room. they let u rent them. my friend had one there. there are many places in phone books ..lyk caterers for food and etc. hope u have a gr8 16th!

oooo me and my bestfriend(a guy) we get in a lot of fights cuz we are the same age and different genders so we tend to have different opinions on things..but in the end we make up lyk nothing happened..its just lyk anything..there are gonna b fights..but as long as u guys make up quick enough its ok. cuz without a best friend where wud anyone be??

talk to them about certain things-lyk i make good friends with a lot of guys at my skool by just talking to them. find something u both have in common..lyk a certain sport. or a singer or music. Just talk and once ur nice they SHOULD b nice to u back. It always helps wen ur nice and u help them with their problmes. If they look lyk they are having a bad day say "wats rong" "are u ok" or try to cheer them up. Thats wat i do and it seems to work!! i hope i helped..if u need more info..just ask me a question!

tell them that if they are ur friends they will support u and not make fun of u. Cuz thats wat friends are there for. Teasing is fine to a point until ur uncomfortable. So tell them if they cant be good enough friends then you'll have to look for ones who wont tease you. hope i helped

if you have your own pool or ur freind does. I usually like to play volleyball-just put up a real volleyball net and tie it across the pool. But if you don't have ur own pool-u can play games that are traditional games ..they are kinda kiddish but thats wats fun about them. Chicken fights are fun too. Just ask the ppl who come to the party wat they wanna do...it will help u feel lyk they are happy and having fun. Just make sure they are enjoying themselves. OOO and some good foods are lyk finger foods...for example. Chips and dip, watermelon slices, fruit, chocolate strawberries,chocolate pretzels, gummy bears.A hawaiian theme is always kool! Don't forget to have some good music! Hope i helped..have fun @ the party!

I'm shy around people I don't know. When my friends are talking to their friends that I don't know I get REALLY shy and I hardly say anything. I know people will just say start talking...but for people who are shy its not that easy. I'm just wondering if theres anyone else out there that has been shy and found a way to get over it...thanks.

I'm shy but i have gotten better. What I usually do is lyk if im at lunch and i dont know anyone at the table-i just compliment something i like about them...EX nice earings or ur hairstyle is kool. Be honest thou! And then if i'm stuck in a problem lyk in a big group try to make them laugh. Just be yourself..most lykly the other ppl are shy too!

I have a problem with cutting myself and I've always been to afraid to tell one of my best friends for fear that she might think i was some kind of freak! Number 1-you shud stop cutting cuz it is really bad for u-if ur mad or upset...go pucnh ur pillow or talk to ur friends or sing ur favorite song out loud. Number 2-If ur friend is a good one-she will try to help u stop cutting and do the best she can for u. dont be surprised if she is shocked...cuz who wudnt b-just give her time ...and plz stop cutting
