Ask me anything, but I prefer questions about menstruation, spirituality, feminism, and history.

However, since there are so many confuzzled, "shy," young women out there, I usually end up answering questions about dating.

are theyre ways to become intimidating? and how do i courage to stand up for like myself and my friends.. like to have the balls to say something. i know i can do it to certain people but then otehr people i cant.. (link)
If you focus on becoming intimidating, it won't happen. Usually, if you think about begin courageous or intimidating, it doesn't happen. If someone is making fun of your or your friends, say something like, "Why are you doing this? What did we ever do to you?" It's good to ask questions that bullies don't honestly answer because it points out to others that you are the smart one, it pulls the ball in your court so to speak. Also, you need to know when NOT to say anything. If an argument isn't getting you anywhere, just walk away and don't listen to those who make fun of you.

There are these really mean girls in my first people. I just started a new school last Wednesday and they were spitting stuff at me and calling me ugly and stuff. [btw i know i'm not ugly]. Anyways, they were being super nasty to me and I just kind of ignored it.
Another girl came in the next day, but she wasn't new, she was just absent the day before. I made friends with her and she told me they were being like that because I was sitting by a girl they hated, Tori. So, the next day I sit away from Tori and they are okay with me.
But now, it seems like they are planning something, or something like that. I was passing notes with the new friend [who's friends with them], and they asked her "is she scared of us?" and stuff and my new friend said "no, she just doesnt want yall treating her badly."
now, they wrote a note to me saying OHH YOU ARE SO AWESOME stuff like that.
so now i'm really scared, because my new "friend" wants me to hang out with her, but i'm afraid they are gonig to do something because they seem SOO fake.

so, two questions.
1. if they keep being mean to me, how do i handle it?
2. does it seem like they are doing something? or are trying to be nice?

please help, cuz i'm kinda scared.
thanks :\ (link)
Just stay away from them, make friends who aren't involved with any of them, and talk to a trusted teacher or guidance counselor if they spit anymore.

I used to be a fairly good student. However, this year(I'm in 11th grade) I have a total lack of motivation. I always do my work at the very last minute because it seems impossible to make myself do it earlier. I've had a lot of narrow escapes when it comes to handing in projects late and stuff, but I never seem to learn from it. It's like I've got the Lazy Disease and it can't be cured! But seriously, that's how I feel. I can never concentrate on my work. It's like I don't realize it's important and then I end up stressing out, but my experience doesn't do anything for next time. I really don't know what to do about this, so any advice would be appreciated. Thanks! (link)
You have junioritis. It's extremely common among juniors. You HAVE to take control. If you get home and just collapse in front of the tv, knowing full well that you have to do a big project, pick your butt up and do it! I'm pretty sure I know what goes through your head: "Oh man, I gotta do that math homework. After The Simpsons is over, I'll do it. No, wait, That 70's Show is after that." And you just never get around to doing it. Force yourself to go do your homework! In class, you have to take notes. To make it more interesting, you could write something like, "The founding fathers knew how important it was to provide freedom to Americans, so they created the first amendment. Then Mr. So-and-so (whatever your teacher's name is) decided to wear that hideous tie to scare away the redcoats." Make it interesting. But, the first step is to FORCE yourself to get up and do it.

If it has to be anything recent, sorry, I can't help you out. However, could you do the witch trials? Joan of Arc? Boadiccea? Henry VIII wives?
