Hi, I saw this lipgloss in the January Seventeen magazine, on the one contest page called 'kissing freebies' anyways, I really want some of those their giving away. Like I want to go and buy them, does anyone know where ANY of these are..
-Too Faced
-Benefit
-Red Earth
-Physicians Formula
-N.Y.C New York Color
-Dior
-Ballmania
-Philosophy
-Prestige
If you know where i can find any of those brands of lipgloss PLEASE tell me. even if its one.
Too Faced, Benefit, and Dior are all at Sephora. If you dont have a sephora then go onto their website
Physicians Formula and NYC are both at drug stores, and maybe like a stop and shop
are revlon berry lip stain and sugar lip worth the money? its like 14 bucks for one small container (sugar) and the lip stain is pretty expensive too but they do look good.
Just Bitten is definitely worth the money.
It's ten dollars, which for a drugstore brand is kinda a lot, but compare it to anything you'd buy at a make up store like sephora. Its on the cheap side, and its of a really good quality. plus, it will last a long time.
what the heck should i wear with these pants?
http://www.hollisterco.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_10251_10201_357600_-1_12744_12635
(they're pictured as capri's, but you can unroll the bottom so they're pants, like i will be wearing them.)
i was thinking of a maroon and white horizontally striped shirt that has tiny silver lines inbetween. i just need help with colors, etc.
You could wear pretty much anything, styles-wise. For colors, I'd say about anything that's light colored. A white tank top(not a wife beater, but a pretty tank top) would look cute, and so would any top that's kind of off white or creme colored. Those pants would probably work well with pale blue, like sky blue, too, or a baby pink. Another thing that would work is a shirt with white and brown on it(like a tank top with brown and white stripes, or a white one with with a brown design), as long as there was equal or more white.
Also, pants like those look really cute with extra girly shirts. Lacy, frilly, babydoll(extra cute), whatever.
American eagle is having a huge sale right now, and most of the girly tops on this page http://www.ae.com/web/browse/category_no_fashion.jsp?catId=cat790025 (especially in the first row) and the tanks on this page http://www.ae.com/web/browse/category_no_fashion.jsp?catId=cat90102 (except the plaid one, plaid wouldnt work. but that shape, you get the idea.) would look really cute with those pants.
Heyy!! Me and my friend are going to this math thing...its for gifted kids and they take it really serously but us and our teacher are just going to have fun. anyway, we wer thinking about dressing up as kinda-dorks but we dont want to look ugly! Any idea how we can be smart-looking and still cute??
Thanx so much!
Xo,
haha if you did the thing the girl below me said they would think you were making fun of them.
Here are my ideas for a cute outfit:
(Take or leave anything I say)
A polo with a v-neck (or round neck) sweater over it(colors that look good! i suggest a pale blue sweater with any color you like, or a brown sweater with a blue or pink top underneath. but if you dont have either, no worries a ton of combinations work), a pleated skirt/a plaid skirt/a pleated and plaid skirt!
a cute button down shirt(like the kind they have at abercrombie or hollister) with a tank top underneath and jeans
a really cute sweater with jeans and plaid cute shoes
what could you wear with this shirt, like would you wear a tanktop? or what what kind of shirt would you wear with it or what would look good with it?
http://www.hollisterco.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_10251_10201_369585_-1_12630_12552
A white cami would look great, especially one of the ones with like lace and sequins at the top. You know, the ones that everyone has. But yeah that would look good, even if it was just a regular white cami or tank top.
Other colors would look good too, like light pink.
what are the best girly perfumes i can get that smell amazing and fruity and sunny and just GOOD! im asking for one this xmas and these are my options. give me your reviews on them and maybe other perfumes you think are good.
- can can (paris hilton)
- daisy (marc jacobs)
- l0lli (its a "o" in the middle btw) pop (lancome. never smelled it but the bottle looked cute? lol)
- juicy couture (juicy couture)
- Escada Sunset Heat )Escada)
- with love (hillary duff)
- Brit Sheer (Burberry)
- covet (sarah jessica parker)
- ralph hot! (ralph lauren)
- princess (vera wang)
- diesel (that fuel for life thing.. it smells amazing.)
- delicious night (DKNY.. and i love love love it)
hm thats all i can remember at the moment. um so rate them and please keep in mind that this is for a 13 year old girl and i want my perfume to be not too sophisticated but like really nice smelling so everyone when you walk into the room's like "wow what smells so good?" and maybe somewhat fruity-ful cause i like those kinda scents. i dont go to beauty stores a lot so i only have a few samples from my teenvogue mag lol. btw i didnt put the perfumes in order of how i like them.
Alright, I know a bunch of these so ill like tell you what i think about them.
Daisy: I thought it was gonna be really great, because it was so heavily advertised and everything, but it smelled kind of just like rubbing alcohol. It was pretty disappointing.
Juicy Couture is absolutely amazing. I want it too. It smells so great!
Escada Sunset Heat: I haven't actually smelled this one, but I have two similar Escada perfumes. They're good, but you get tired of them for a while. They're kind of sickly sweet.
With Love: its pretty good, but it's not great.
Ralph Hot: It's so good! plus, you said you liked fruity, so thats great.
Princess: I have it and I love it. It smells like vanilla sort of. It's amazing. It's the kind of thing that someone older(15+, maybe) might not want to wear, but you're thirteen, right? It's great.
Delicious Night: I smelled just a sample of this, but I didn't really love it.
If I were you, I would probably go with Juicy Couture or Princess. They're both kind of playful, which I think is sort of what you want. If you want it to be a bit more sophisticated(not sophisticated, just a little bit) I'd choose Juicy Couture.
I am doing a school t6alent show...and i dont know what to do.....sing, dancfe,cheers, and more.but i need ideas for what i could do....where could i get the ideas

look at all these. there are a lot of great ideas.
an idea that i like is taking a song and lip syncing it, and doing a dance to it. you can make it funny.
also, maybe do a little skit. you can write it or go on google to look for one.
Alright so does anybody know any good, reliable websites that sell designer purses for cheap? Like under $50 or so. I've gone to my local flea market one too many times, they usually don't really have anything too great. Although, I am looking for one purse in particular, http://shop.nordstrom.com/S/2939367?Category=&Search=True&SearchType=keywordsearch&keyword=Juicy+Couture+Handbags+in+All+Categories&origin=searchresults in black. If anyone can find this on a reliable site (no bidding sites such as ebay) I will be very grateful! Thank you soo much in advance!!
I hate to say it, but you're not going to find that bag online for so cheap. The only place you would find that bag for so cheap would be maybe a used clothes store.
And honestly, I don't think you'll really find any designer bags for under 50 online ever. The only place you might would be ebay, but you said no to that.
So save up your money so you can afford an expensive bag, compromise and get a little wristlet or something, or get a knockoff.

yeah.
well.
theres me.
i would love to have some blue up in there.
but.
being the controlling school.
they dont allow crazy color.
so thinking about the random blonde streaks.
chunks.
tips.
ya know.
just wondering yalls opinion.
thanks in advance.
:]]
Blonde chunks seem like a good idea, but a lot of the time they turn out really badly. So you shuold probably see if you can get that done temporarily to make sure you like it.
Another idea if it's not great is doing red. It would complement your hair color and it's a hair color so you could probably get away with it. If not red-red, then maybe a more natural red. But still, it's better than nothing. It could look really cute.
I'm really into fashion.. but I cannot put a cute outfit together myself for well, me! I'm not into abercrombie and fitch pricey clothes or brand names across shirts. I have no idea what colors look good on me. I've been told red but I cannot wear red at school.. since I'm usually there.. I don't bother buying it. Help? I'm going to be a junior next year and I want a makeover. Makeup tips, fashion tips, hair cut [?] style?
I can do a makeover for someone else but not myself. I've changed my look so much by myself and it comes out bad. I just want opinions!
Here's me

I'm kinda small. 5'0-5'1 85 pounds. I'm 16. I have dark brown eyes that I would love to brighten up. Makeup tips/brands? I dyed my hair black to cover up previous dyes, some dark brown [natural color] is peeking through eh. It's also naturally wavy. Any way to wear it pretty and have it out of my face?
I really like the style of Forever 21 and Wet Seal.. I just usually wore black for many years because I thought color looked bad on me. So I'm kinda lost with fashion. It's all cute things that I think won't look good on me. Help please :]
Pictures would be nice and lots of responses too. Any tip would be helpful.
You'd look really good in white(not off white but like, snow white) and bright colors. Try a vibrant blue or aqua blue. I might stay away from yellow and pale pink if i was you. Also maybe oranges, although I can't really tell. Ask a friend how it looks on you. Grey could bring out the pinks in your skin, which is good. But not dark slate-grey. Just medium grays and lighter.
Since your petite, you'd look really cute in a lot of things. Skinny jeans might make your legs look weird, so I might stay away from those(but skinny jeans should have been out in December and I don't know why anyone still wears them). Also, capris could make you look shorter. Bermuda shorts could be good though, especially if they're kinda tight. Jeans-wise, you should go for ones that are relatively tight. Not like slutty, squeezing-you-to-death tight, but not bagggy at all. Also, A medium wash would work best for you. Dark might make you look even smaller, and light could draw extra attention to your size(I'm not saying that you don't want people to notice your size or anything- It's pretty noticeable. But light washes tend to attract attention, and you don't want people thinking, "Wow, she's really really short." If they can notice your entire body, then they'll think, "Wow, she's petite," or something along those lines anyway. And that's kind of better). Denim bermudas are especially cute. As for skirts, you'd probably look cutest in a mini-skirt.
Makeup:
For eye makeup, you should probably not wear black eyeliner, because it would look too heavy on your face. Wear brown instead. You can barely tell that there's a difference, but it looks a lot lighter. For eyeshadow, lavendars, greens, and browns(bronze, beige, etc.) would look best. Browns would complement your eye color, but might not look best with your skin, so you should be minimal if you use it. You should probably not use pink because it could make you look slightly sickly. If you want to brighten your eyes, line your eyes(inside rim and on the bottom) with white eye liner. Also, put just the tiniest tiniest bit of a light, shimmery eyeshadow on the inner part of your eye that kind of touches your nose. Mascara-wise, you don't really need it. Your eyelashes are good enough. But if you want to, you could pretty much use anything. For your lips, you could use any pinks, really. One that's close to your natural color looks best. Don't use berry purples or anything because it could look wierd. If you want to look like, stunning, a firetruck red would work on you. But don't wear that too often. Use it on an occassion, like a time when you have to dress up or something. For blush, you should go to a nice makeup store like Sephora and ask someone there to help you find a color. Do this even if money is an issue and you want to get cheap makeup. You can remember the color she chooses for you and then get a similar one at, say, a drug store.

How could I get into modeling? I live in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area.
I was at one of my Mom's Avon dinners and the regional director told me that I should be the "new face" of their teen line, Mark. We tried sending a letter and e-mail into Mark, but they said they weren't looking for a "new face" and to keep waiting. I would really like to start modeling (just my face-maybe a make up model?), but I don't know what to do?
Help?
Is your mom kind of buddy-buddy with the regional director? Call her and be like, "Hey, this is Jenna. Laura's daughter. I was at the dinner last week, and you know how you said you thought I could be the new face of Mark? Do you really think I could do that?" See where it leads. Maybe you could ask her to put in a good word for you, or even see if someone from the department in charge of modeling could call you or have you come in.
While you do that, search goodle for "open casting call modeling." You'll probably find some in your area. Go out there and give it a shot. Even if you don't make it, you'll have the tiniest bit more experience and show people interested in having you model that you really want it.
I want to pernamentley straighten my hair, but my mom won't let me. I am planning to pay for it. My mom still won't let me because, as she says, you will look like a wet muskrat, just like everyone else with stick straight hair.
But I am getting a haircut, and it will be shoulder length. My hair is EXTREMELY poofy, no matter what kind of shampoos or serums I use. When I straighten it with a straightener, which takes about an hour and a half (which I don't have time for) it gets really nice and silky, and the poof disapears.
I think I really need this: I only wear my hair down when I straighten my hair, which is about four times a year. Otherwise I wear it in a pony tail, which makes me feel like a tomboy.
How do I convince my mom to let me? I am 16 by the way.
Tell her that you feel really uncomfortable looking how you do now, and you'd feel much more confident if you could straighten it permanently.
Show her pictures of people with straight hair who dont "look like a wet muscrat."
Tell her that you'll blow dry it a tiny bit to give it some lift so that it won't be limp or anything.
I have a really bad unibrow. Like REALLY bad. My mom won't let me do anything with it: I am not allowed to pluck it, wax it, or remove it in any way. I try to pluck it, but its really hard because there's so many hairs, and also my mom hates it when I do. But recently she kind of gave up, because I still pluck it anyways.
I want to convince my mom to let me go to a salon and get it professionallly waxed. She will most definetly not be happy upon hearing this, but I just want to remove the unibrow, and get some touchups on my eyebrows. She thinks they will do it really thin, "just like those cashier ladies with drawn on eyebrows". It just makes me really mad. I was over at my friends house once, and she gets her eyebrows waxed, and they were starting to grow back a little, and her mom was like "OMG your eyebrows look horrible we need to get them fixed ASAP". I wish my mom was like that. I actually got my unibrow from her, and she doesn't do anything about hers... and well it looks really bad.
She says waxed eyebrows aren't natural, but unibrows arent either!!
How do I get her to let me? Any good arguments?
When you go, you can tell the salonists how to do your eyebrows. Promise her that you'll make sure they only take hair from in between, no touching the width of the eyebrows. (If you really want, tell her that you'll make sure they don't touch the top of the eyebrow--that's what makes them look super unnatural. but that won't be nearly as convincing) Tell her that you'll only get it done once in a while... you can pluck them every other day after you get it done to keep it looking like it did right after they were waxed. If she knows that you won't keep going back, then she might be more comfortable.
I am 14 years old and I am a female.
I would like to model for stores such as Target, Kohls, or anything like that. My mom isn't really into the whole "focused on looks" thing. & Neither am I. I just want some way to make money over summer [please dont say maybe you should try babysitting.. im not looking for other jobs... I want to model].
But, money is an issue for us, so we can't afford paying a lot for agencies and things-- especially if i dont make it. I also only want to do it for the summer;; & I don't want a job that makes us move or something like that.
Do you know of anything that falls into my "criteria?"
Thanks in advance
It will be extremely tough to do that. I mean, plenty of people WITH agents barely get to model. It takes a long time for them to get a first job... more than two months. As well, models can't really afford to be specific. They'd need to model for anything. Unless you're an extremely famous model, you couldn't really choose who you'd model for. I'm not saying you can't do it, but if you need the money, then you really should try and get another job AND try to become a model in the off time.
You didn't say where you were from. If you're from a big city, like New York City or LA, then it will be a little bit easier, just because there are more open call auditions there. If you're from somewhere that's not so near a city, then this is going to be extremely hard. What you need to do is go online and try to find open-call auditions in your area. You should google a few keywords, like "open-call model" and "open model auditions" and "open call model [your state]." But seriously, you can't really count on this for the money. It's far too unreliable.
But if this is what you really want, then you should google the things I said above, or anything else that comes to mind. One thing can lead to another.

i'm jewish, go to a jewish private school with a dress code that's not strictly enforced.
so my boyfriend and i just broke up and i'm on the market again. before i had a boyfriend, i used to dress...well, not slutty, but let's just say i wore revealing clothes. unconsiously, when i had a boyfriend, i wore more modest clothes. now i'm single again, i just bought new stuff last week from h&m and urban outfitters, and i'm not sure what to do. should i continue to dress modestly or is it ok for me to dress...well, slutty? i didn't dress exactly like a slut...just bared some cleavage and wore short skirts. i have big boobs and small legs and i want to play them up to my advantage.
i know my teachers (and my mom) would like it better if i continued dressing modestly, but i know that guys...well, appreciate me being a little revealing. and i am looking, not for a relationship, but to have some fun. so should i be modest or be "slutty"?
Hey I'll answer your question in half a second, but first I just want to clear something up:
Most guys think you're kind of demeaning yourself if your dressing slutty. They don't think you respect yourself, and therefore, they don't respect you. And in some situations, I think like, whatever. But you should dress MORE conservative(not nesesarrily conservative, but moreso) at school. Not because it's a place where you should be modest blah blah blah, but because chances are, that's where your next bf is going to come from. And if not your next one, definitely the grand majority of them. So you want those guys to respect you. Even if you don't need it now, you will want it eventually.
But as for your question:
Go ahead, dress a little slutty. I know I do. Don't be too much of a slut, but it's okay to have guys look at you. My rule of thumb is to be kinda alutty in one area only. So if you're wearing a really short skirt, then don't go overboard with cleavage too. If your jeans are really tight and low, wear a more conservative top. It shows that you don't want guys to see everything, and it leaves some for their imagination. Would you want to hook up with a guy who you'd already seen all of, or would you want to feel more like you were... discovering him? haha I know that sounds weird, but I think you know what I mean. They're not going to want you if they think they can get you anyday anyway.
I'm a 15 year old female..
i want some cool up-to-date hair styles..
i do the whole clip the bangs back..
and im not dying hair hair.
or cutting it.
i just want cool things to dow ith my longish..
curly hair
Two braids are a really great one. Make them kinda loose, and on either side of your head. Kind of like a little kids. That would work with curly really well.
Also, if you straightened your hair, you could do a sort of twist on that. You could make them really loose, and when you braid them, just kind of do two or three steps(? i dont know how to exlpain his really) so that theyre really short, and tie it right under there. So like, only about half of the hair, give or take, is braided.
If your curls are really tight and defined, try a ponytail sometimes. It looks really cute with little curls.
Also, wear thick headbands. They're so cute. They're kind of over, but they're supposed to come back in in the summer.
Hope I helped xxx
how should i do my make up to make dark brown eyes look really good?
Use eyeliner on the outside half of the bottom eyelid. use black eyeliner. but don't use too much cause that never looks good.
if your eyes have any green in them whatsoever, use purple. like a lavendar or anything thats kinda purpley. it will make them look greener and draw lots of attention.
also, green eyeshadow and beiges. green will look great and give you an earthy feel. the beige can be used if you just want a quick neutral look.
Ok, I have a lot of cute shirts & I dress pretty girly, but my problem is it is absolutely freezing in school. I am cold all the time. I end up wearing a hoodie every day because I can't concentrate otherwise. What are some cute ideas to make myself look more girly? I usually do a messy bun with earrings, but any other ideas? Thanks
You could get some cute sweaters; they almost always make you look girlier.
If you wear contacts, try switching to a really cute pair of glasses. A thick-rimmed pair looks amazing with a messy bun and danglyish earrings.
You can wear really cute shoes. Anything that's not sneakers is great... wedges, estrapedilles, ballet flats...
Dreadlocks - my latest 'craving', you could say. There's this girl in my uni who has it and it looks amazing on her.
I was just wondering how it's done...I know someone who'll do it and stuff but I wanna know how. Also, will I be able to wash my hair? And after how long will it start to get all loose and weird? And are there any negative consequences (like the 1.5 million different fleas found in Bob Marley's hair)?...
I admit I'm a hygiene freak (must wash my hair before 24 hours are over between each wash)and I just want to make sure I won't do something I will regret.
Thanks for your time.
=)
Hey, i just noticed everyone saying you can't wash them.
thats not totally true.
you can get them washed, but not so often and all.
Also, some people said that you just don't wash it and you frizz it...
not true either.
my guy friend tried this and all he got were these matts. Like, if youve ever seen a matted dog? that's what he looked like.
It's a pretty detailed procedure. I can't tell you exactly how to go about doing them, but i know that basically you separate small pievess of hair, a little less thick than you want your dreds, and you twist them. then, you rub your fingers up and down them. you can get them done, too.
and if you do them right and get them relatively thin, then theyre not that unhygenic. You can still be a clean freak everywhere else, and ill admit theyll be dirty, but theyre not going to be full of bugs like the one person said.
if you like the idea, go for it. don't let hygene stop you. theyre not as unsanitary as most people think.
13/f. hey i get manicures alott, (french) and i was wondering how to make them last longer?
When you dry them in the machine thing, dry them for longer. Even if it doesnt seem necessary to do more cycles, it is. the longer you do it, the longer it lasts. I typically do 5 or six cycles, but even ten would be great.
