I would like to model for stores such as Target, Kohls, or anything like that. My mom isn't really into the whole "focused on looks" thing. & Neither am I. I just want some way to make money over summer [please dont say maybe you should try babysitting.. im not looking for other jobs... I want to model].
But, money is an issue for us, so we can't afford paying a lot for agencies and things-- especially if i dont make it. I also only want to do it for the summer;; & I don't want a job that makes us move or something like that.
Do you know of anything that falls into my "criteria?"
Thanks in advance

I mean, plenty of people WITH agents barely get to model. It takes a long time for them to get a first job... more than two months. As well, models can't really afford to be specific. They'd need to model for anything. Unless you're an extremely famous model, you couldn't really choose who you'd model for. I'm not saying you can't do it, but if you need the money, then you really should try and get another job AND try to become a model in the off time.
You didn't say where you were from. If you're from a big city, like New York City or LA, then it will be a little bit easier, just because there are more open call auditions there. If you're from somewhere that's not so near a city, then this is going to be extremely hard. What you need to do is go online and try to find open-call auditions in your area. You should google a few keywords, like "open-call model" and "open model auditions" and "open call model [your state]." But seriously, you can't really count on this for the money. It's far too unreliable.
But if this is what you really want, then you should google the things I said above, or anything else that comes to mind. One thing can lead to another. [ andalixsays's advice column | Ask andalixsays A Question ]
